The Hunger Games: Catching Fire Movie Review

Image
Hey Everyone! So I saw Catching Fire on Saturday!! From  IMDB And let me just start by saying it was amazing! Description and image above from  IMDB : Katniss Everdeen and Peeta Mellark become targets of the Capitol after their victory in the 74th Hunger Games sparks a rebellion in the Districts of Panem. My Thoughts: I read Catching Fire   early late 2011, and honestly thought of it as my favorite book in the Hunger Games Trilogy!  I thought it had the best story line, the best adventure, and the most going on. The movie was no exception!  Jennifer Lawrence did an amazing job, once again, as Katniss Everdeen! I loved the new editions to the cast! One of my favorites was hands down Jena Malone as Johanna. She had some of the best rebellious quotes toward the Capitol!  I don't if it was me, but I don't really remember the tributes of the Quarter Quell rebelling against the Capitol; but Johanna definitely didn't hold back! Loved that! I ...

Wow, this was a great book!!! From  Goodreads : No one knows what happened the night Echo Emerson went from popular girl with jock boyfriend to gossiped-about outsider with "freaky" scars on her arms. Even Echo can't remember the whole truth of that horrible night. All she knows is that she wants everything to go back to normal. But when Noah Hutchins, the smoking-hot, girl-using loner in the black leather jacket, explodes into her life with his tough attitude and surprising understanding, Echo's world shifts in ways she could never have imagined. They should have nothing in common. And with the secrets they both keep, being together is pretty much   impossible. Yet the crazy attraction between them refuses to go away. And Echo has to ask herself just how far they can push the limits and what she'll risk for the one guy who might teach her how to love again. My Thoughts: I am just going to get straight to the point...I LOVED THIS BOOK!!  This book has me ...

The Book of Broken Hearts by Sarah Ockler (ARC Review)

Image
Dementia...aka Alzheimer's...really does = "the Devil" or "el demonio".  What a HORRIBLE disease this is!  I personally have had fairly little experience with this terrible disease, but I've heard some awful stories!  We new a lady who it attacked so fast, we didn't even know.  We knew her for years, and one day we saw her with her husband and she honestly had no idea who we were!  In fact, she looked scared that we were talking to her. My great-grandmother who will be 94 next month, was diagnosed with dementia a few years ago.  I unfortunately haven't been to my country of origin, Germany, to visit her, but my brother visited a couple of years ago, and he stayed with her for a couple of days throughout his visit.  Every single time he saw her, she didn't remember him! So anyway now to my review...since you maybe wondering "What does this have to do with your review?" From  Goodreads : When all signs point to heartbreak, can...

Image
***WARNING!!! MAY CONTAIN SPOILERS FROM PREVIOUS BOOKS IN THE INFERNAL DEVICES TRILOGY!!!*** Let me just begin this review by saying I literally just used up half a box of tissues as I read the last 30 or so pages of Clockwork Princess . I'm a very emotional person.  Especially when it comes to the books I'm reading. I can't even tell you how many times I have cried while reading a book...just to name a few... Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince , Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Princess Forever (the 10th Princess Diaries book by Meg Cabot) , The Fault in Our Stars  by John Green, Thirteen Reasons Why  by Jay Asher...the list goes on and on! Let me also say, I fall in love with characters.  Like a deep love!  Like deep deep love!  I find myself pretending that the main character is usually my best friend, and I'm listening to her story, as I'm falling in love with the main male character of the story!  That's how it is! I can't help it!...
