Josh and Gemma Make a Baby by Sarah Ready (ARC) (Audiobook)

Image
Hey Everyone! I haven't had the opportunity to read an ARC in years, and this was my first time getting to listen to an ARC via audiobook, so it was pretty exciting.  Years and years ago I made a Netgalley account, and I honestly became horrible at keeping up with all the books I was requesting.  I just found out that Netgalley is doing audiobooks now too, and that got me very excited, because audiobooks and physical books are my jam!  So I am swearing to myself that I will only request one book at a time, so I make sure to actually review it! My first Netgalley review in many many years is for Josh and Gemma Make a Baby by Sarah Ready which will be released on January 25th! From Goodreads: New Year's Resolution: Have a baby Preferably with Josh Lewenthal. Meet Gemma Jacobs. She's driven, energetic, and a positive thinker. She has a great career working for famed self-help guru Ian Fortune, she lives in a cute studio apartment in Manhattan, and her fa...

Something I'm Good At (Sol del Mar #1) by Caroline Andrus (ARC Review)

Image
Hey Everyone! I'm back again!! Did you miss me? Of course you did! ;)  All three of you reading this... Oh who am I kidding, my mom! "Hi Mom!!" 😄 Just kidding! I hope, to who ever is reading this, that you have had an awesome kick start to your summer!  I know some of you might not have a summer break, because if you're an adult, like me at the almost age of 28, then you probably have work!  Or, if you're an adult, and really like me, you chose to go in the teaching children profession, and therefore you do have a summer break!  Either way, whether you have the summer off or not, I hope you are having a wonderful start to the new season! I just got back from a fun week long road trip with my husband.  We tried to do cross country, but man is it tough being on the road for a week, let alone the three weeks we had originally planned!  We had a great time, and saw some incredible places; but road life is not the life for us!  We got home on S...

Dare You To (Pushing the Limits #2) by Katie McGarry

Image
Hey Everyone!! :) Over a year ago, I read Katie McGarry's first book in the Pushing the Limits Series ,  Pushing the Limits , and fell absolutely in love with the characters, the writing, the story! Just everything!  I knew right away that I would want to read the other books in the series, as soon as possible!  At the time the second book, Dare You To  was a few days away from being released, and unfortunately I caught up in other books, so by the time I did get the chance to read it, I had almost forgotten about it! I know I suck!  But that's the problem with when you start a series, and the other books aren't available yet!! Anyway, almost a year and a half later...I've finally read the second one in the series, Dare You To ! From Goodreads : Ryan lowers his lips to my ear. "Dance with me, Beth." "No." I whisper the reply. I hate him and I hate myself for wanting him to touch me again.... "I dare you..." If anyone knew the tr...

I just can't get enough of her books! Well, thanks to Netgalley I got the amazing opportunity to review an ARC copy of Breathe, Annie, Breathe  #5 in The Hundred Oaks Series! From Goodreads : Annie hates running. No matter how far she jogs, she can’t escape the guilt that if she hadn’t broken up with Kyle, he might still be alive. So to honor his memory, she starts preparing for the marathon he intended to race. But the training is even more grueling than Annie could have imagined. Despite her coaching, she’s at war with her body, her mind—and her heart. With every mile that athletic Jeremiah cheers her on, she grows more conflicted. She wants to run into his arms…and sprint in the opposite direction. For Annie, opening up to love again may be even more of a challenge tha...

Image
And it's Tuesday! :) I can't believe this is the fourth day in a row that I have a post to post!!  WOW, a new record...at least for the past year! ;) Anyway, I finished Don't Even Think About It by Sarah Mlynowski yesterday!! From Goodreads : Contemporary teen fiction with romance, secrets, scandals, and ESP from the author of  Ten Things We Did (And Probably Shouldn't Have) . We weren't always like this. We used to be average New York City high school sophomores. Until our homeroom went for flu shots. We were prepared for some side effects. Maybe a headache. Maybe a sore arm. We definitely didn't expect to get telepathic powers. But suddenly we could hear what everyone was thinking. Our friends. Our parents. Our crushes. Now we all know that Tess is in love with her best friend, Teddy. That Mackenzie cheated on Cooper. That, um, Nurse Carmichael used to be a stripper. Since we've kept our freakish skill a secret, we can sit next to the class brai...

Wow, this was a great book!!! From  Goodreads : No one knows what happened the night Echo Emerson went from popular girl with jock boyfriend to gossiped-about outsider with "freaky" scars on her arms. Even Echo can't remember the whole truth of that horrible night. Someday, Someday, Maybe by Lauren Graham (ARC)

Image
I have loved Lauren Graham's work since seeing my first episode of Gilmore Girls  while I was in high school.  I ended up buying all of the seasons off of Ebay, and my mom and I spent hours upon hours watching every single episode!  By the time, we got to that last episode, we had watched Rory grow from an awkward shy teenager, to a confident young woman who had graduated from Yale, and cried along with her mom, Lorelei (Graham)! Since the end of Gilmore Girls , I've seen Because I Said So  about five billion times, because it is one of my all time favorite movies! And started enjoying Parenthood a few months ago, after hearing great things, and getting Netflix. Well, when I heard and saw that Lauren Graham had written a book, I KNEW I HAD to read it!!  And then guess what?? Netgalley had it!!! Whoop-whoop!! Happy dance!! So now to my review! :) From  Goodreads : A charming and laugh-out-loud novel by Lauren Graham, beloved star of Parenthood an...

Image
Coming out March 19th, 2013 Heart Like Mine by Amy Hatvany is a novel that will have fans of Jodi Piccoult and Emily Giffin wanting more! From Goodreads :   Thirty-six-year-old Grace McAllister never longed for children. But when she meets Victor Hansen, a handsome, charismatic divorced restaurateur who is father to Max and Ava, Grace decides that, for the right man, she could learn to be an excellent part-time stepmom. After all, the kids live with their mother, Kelli. How hard could it be? At thirteen, Ava Hansen is mature beyond her years. Since her parents’ divorce, she has been the one taking care of her emotionally unstable mother and her little brother—she pays the bills, does the laundry, and never complains because she loves her mama more than anyone. And while her father’s new girlfriend is nice enough, Ava still holds out hope that her parents will get back together and that they’ll be a family again. But only days after Victor and Grace get engaged, K...

First Time for Everything by Aimee Carson

Image
***WARNING***This Book contains MATURE Adult Conten t *** So one of my goals for this year to finally read some Netgalley books!! :) This time around it was First Time for Everything by Aimee Carson, which is one of the books in Harlequin's new romance series! :) From  Goodreads : "So tell me, suit," she said, as lightly as she could. "What exactly is a virgin supposed to act like?" Jacqueline's new boss is none other than her friend's older brother—hot-shot lawyer Blake Bennington. His control freakery and his need to always, always be right would normally send fiery, unconventional Jax running a mile—but even she has to admit he looks edible in his bespoke suit! She's quickly realizing she's way out of her depth…but with this contained, experienced guy, trying to get him to lose his cool is just a little too tempting…. Harlequin KISS has 4 new fun, flirty and sensual romance books available every month. My Thoughts: ...
