Wings by Aprilynne Pike Review

Image
So I've been trying to read Wings for probably about the last two years!  I started reading it two summers ago off of a friend's Nook, and got about a 1/4 way through.  I ended up buying about a year ago at Barnes and Noble, so I could eventually finish it! Well I've FINALLY finished it!! From Goodreads : Laurel was mesmerized, staring at the pale things with wide eyes. They were terrifyingly beautiful--too beautiful for words. Laurel turned to the mirror again, her eyes on the hovering petals that floated beside her head. They looked almost like wings. In this extraordinary tale of magic and intrigue, romance and danger, everything you thought you knew about faeries will be changed forever. My Thoughts: While that description may be short, it is also the perfect way to describe this book! Aprilynne Pike has an Imagination! An absolute beautiful one!  The description of the wings was gorgeous!  My mom, who actually read this one before me, ...

Feyland: The Bright Court

Image
I got an email from Anthea Sharp about two weeks ago, telling me her second novel in the Feyland Trilogy was being released and she wanted ME to read it!! I absolutely loved Feyland: The Dark Realm (Review HERE! ), and so of course jumped on the chance to read the sequel Feyland: The Bright Court immediately! The Bright Court takes off right where The Dark Realm left off.  Jennet and Tam continue to look for a way to stop the prototype of Feyland to be released out in the world.  Here's the problem though...what if the company owner's son is playing it and doesn't seem to be having any problems playing the game? Well that's what happened when Roy Lassiter comes to join Tam and Jennet at their high school.  And according to Jennet's father, who is in charge of Feyland's production, Roy has been playing the game for months and nothing has happened...or so he says... Jennet and Tam soon realize something is up. Why is Roy attracting all these women wit...

Fragile Eternity (Wicked Lovely #3) Review

Image
Fragile Eternity (the third in the Wicked Lovely Series) by Melissa Marr, I was glad to find had my favorite characters in it again! I was disappointed with the sequel to the series, Ink Exchange (Review HERE! ), because instead of having Seth and Aislinn in it, the two characters I just couldn't get enough of in the first book in the series, Wicked Lovely ; it had them playing side characters while three completely new characters were brought into the picture. In Fragile Eternity Seth, Aislinn, and Keenan are back; as well as Donia (The Winter Queen), and Niall (who was one of the main characters in Ink Exchange , and currently the Dark Court King). To summarize what the third book is about, I'm going to go with the Goodreads description, because if I give you my description AND what I thought about it, this post is just going to be WAY too long! From Goodreads : Aislinn never expected to rule in Faerie--but that was before Keenan stole her mortality to make her a mo...

Ink Exchange by Melissa Marr Review

Wow, I feel so bad everyone! My heart hasn't been in my books in the last couple of weeks...unfortunately. Here's my problem... The List!! Yes the DAMN LIST!!!! I HATE IT!!!!!!!!! Over the past couple of months, I've been getting an insane amount of emails from authors, requesting me to read their latest novel...which you know is ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!! Authors want ME to read their novels???!!! But here's the problem...I ended up promising too many authors that I would read their books by a specific time, and have the review up by a such and such date.  It's gotten too much! Over the past couple of months the fun of reading has almost been taken away from me...something that I have a serious problem with! Here's the thing though...and I don't want anyone thinking I don't love getting author requests...I DO!!!, it's just reading is supposed to fun! Not scheduled! I now realize it is my own mistake, I should have gone a different way with eac...
