"The DUFF" (MOVIE Review) !!!!! :) (PLUS GIVEAWAY!!)

Image
Hey Everyone!!! So I did something incredibly exciting a while ago...I got the amazing unbelievable opportunity to see an advanced screening of The DUFF , based on the novel of the same name by the equally amazing Kody Keplinger!!! I've been a HUGE fan of Kody since early 2011, when I first read The DUFF , for the first time.  Since then, I've read it close to half a dozen times, and continue to love it each and every single time. When I was contacted to help bring news on the movie and promote it, I was beyond stoked on life.  I can't even tell you how much I squealed!! Anyway, before I was going to promote this movie, I of course, wanted to see it.  I was going to lie to my readers and promote something I either hadn't seen, or something I didn't even like!!! But anyway, I saw it..and...I LOVED IT!!!!!!!! Holy moly, I can't even tell you how much I loved it!! No joke, no way am I saying this to make the PR company happy, I honestly, and truly ...

FOUR Year Anniversary for The Romance Bookie!!!! (GIVEAWAY!!)

Image
Hey Everyone!!!! WOW, I honestly can't believe it has been another year!  The time sure is flying when you're having fun! While, this year has been extremely slow, it has still been an amazing year! FOUR YEARS GUYS!!! FOUR!! On this day in 2010, I was going through all the layout settings, and designing The Romance Bookie.  It looked so different back then, with a simple sea-foam green background, and the words "The Romance Bookie" written over the top in purple; it's definitely come a long way! I know this year has not been as huge of a year for The Romance Bookie as the previous three; however, none the less it's been a huge year for me!  I'm growing more and more as a person, learning more and more, and enjoying life more and more, mostly thanks to a very special someone in my life. I'm one semester away from transferring to University from City College, which after six years you may be saying "About time!".  Which is very true...

All Lined Up (Rusk University #1) by Cora Carmack (ARC)

Image
Hey Everyone!! So I finished Cora Carmack's newest novel All Lined Up, the first book in her new series Rusk University,  and I'm so darn excited to share with you my review!! When I was given the opportunity to review this one a few months ago for the blog tour, I instantly jumped at the chance; which for some of you, if you've been reading up on my blog for a while now, know that I haven't been the best reader in the past months, therefore haven't really been accepting any review request/blog tour dates, only because my schedule has been so crazy busy, I just haven't had the chance to read as much as I've wanted! Anyway, I did it! I read my first blog tour book in like almost a year, I think!! Therefore, it's time to give myself a pat on the back ;). From Goodreads : New York Times   and   USA Today   bestselling author Cora Carmack follows up her trio of hits—Losing It, Faking It, and Finding It—with this thrilling first novel in an explo...

The Hunger Games: Catching Fire Movie Review

Image
Hey Everyone! So I saw Catching Fire on Saturday!! From  IMDB And let me just start by saying it was amazing! Description and image above from  IMDB : Katniss Everdeen and Peeta Mellark become targets of the Capitol after their victory in the 74th Hunger Games sparks a rebellion in the Districts of Panem. My Thoughts: I read Catching Fire   early late 2011, and honestly thought of it as my favorite book in the Hunger Games Trilogy!  I thought it had the best story line, the best adventure, and the most going on. The movie was no exception!  Jennifer Lawrence did an amazing job, once again, as Katniss Everdeen! I loved the new editions to the cast! One of my favorites was hands down Jena Malone as Johanna. She had some of the best rebellious quotes toward the Capitol!  I don't if it was me, but I don't really remember the tributes of the Quarter Quell rebelling against the Capitol; but Johanna definitely didn't hold back! Loved that! I ...

ARC Review of "Dancing Naked in Dixie"

Image
I got a fantastic email a few weeks ago from Lauren Clark, the author of Stay Tuned , telling me her new book was coming out soon, and that she was hoping I would read it.  OF COURSE!! I answered! I loved Stay Tuned !! It was one of the, if not the first blog tour I ever participated in, and it brought back so many great memories! Dancing Naked in Dixie is Lauren's second novel, set out to be released on May 21st, was a fun fabulous contemporary romance novel!  It follows the story of Julia Sullivan, a traveler writer for Getaway magazine.  After coming back from a trip from Italy, she finds the magazine has a new boss, someone she's got quite the past with...and he gives her one final warning to get her act together, after writing a few quite not so fabulous articles, and not being deadlines, and being late for work multiple times.  To prove she can do it, he gives her a new assignment...write an article on Eufaula, Alabama and talk about their annual Pilgrima...
