Hey Everyone! I hope all of you are having a fabulous Memorial Day Weekend!  I'm excited because I not only got the day off today, but FINALS ARE OVER!!! Which means...SUMMER SUMMER TIME!! Which also makes Cress by Marissa Meyer (the 3rd book in the Lunar Chronicles) my first official Summer Read!! :) From Goodreads : In this third book in the Lunar Chronicles, Cinder and Captain Thorne are fugitives on the run, now with Scarlet and Wolf in tow. Together, they’re plotting to overthrow Queen Levana and her army.   Their best hope lies with Cress, a girl imprisoned on a satellite since childhood who's only ever had her netscreens as company. All that screen time has made Cress an excellent hacker. Unfortunately, she’s just received orders from Levana to track down Cinder and her handsome accomplice.   When a daring rescue of Cress goes awry, the group is separated. Cress finally has her freedom, but it comes at a high price. Meanwhile, Queen Levana will let ...

Glitches by Marissa Meyer (Short Story)

Image
Let me just begin by saying that I have looking forward to Scarlet by Marissa Meyer since reading Cinder last February! So when I received my paperback version of Cinder last week, and found Marissa's short story Glitches, I was thrilled to say the least! :) About Glitches : Picture from Goodreads   Glitches is pretty much Cinder 0.5.  By that the half, I mean it is the story BEFORE Cinder's story in Cinder begins! It's the story of when Cinder first joins her adopted family.  Of her coming home to meet her not-so-friendly step-mother, Adri, her also not-so-nice stepsister, Pearl, and her actual loving other step sister, Peony; while also still having her loving step-father around. That is before her world is even further ripped apart, when her stepfather is taken from her and his family from the terrible disease, called letumosis, aka the plague of the future. My thoughts: If you've read and loved Cinder, and, like me, have been wai...

And that means discussing what has been our favorite reads of the year, right?! Well, usually I come up with my own categories, like I did Last Year , however, this year I ran across something pretty cool!  A Survey!  I LOVE surveys!! I am serious! I love filling out things! haha Anyway, there are some awesome questions on this survey that I think will round up and bring to an end this year very nicely!! So here goes: This survey was started by The Perpetual Page Turner ! 1. The Best Book you read in 2012? (You can break it down by genre if you want) I am DEFINITELY breaking this up into categories!  I read SO many awesome books this year! Still on My Mind #4

Image
Still on My Mind is a weekly meme, featured on Thursday, started by Haley over at Ya-Aholic , where you discuss a book you've either recently read, or read over the past few years, that's still on your mind. This week's book I read back in February, right before I headed to Long Beach for the Passion & Prose Conference.   I actually ate lunch right next to this author on the day, and got to talk to her about amazing book, shortly after I had read it! She was really sweet, and even wrote a super sweet message into my beautiful Hardcover copy of the book... Cinder ( Review HERE ) by Marissa Meyer is 100% one of my favorite novels released this year!  It was original (when it comes to a Cinderella story), had great characters, kept me hooked throughout the entire thing, and was an all around great read! If you're one of the few people whose missed this great page turner, here's the description from Goodreads: Humans and androids crowd the raucous...
