Mind the Gap, Dash & Lily (Dash & Lily #3) by Rachel Cohn and David Levithan (Audiobook)

 Hey!

Here for another review! This one for the third book in the Dash and Lily series, Mind the Gap, Dash & Lily by Rachel Cohn and David Levithan!

From Goodreads:

For Dash and Lily, it's beginning to look a lot like...distance! Just in time for the series release of Dash & Lilyon Netflix comes a new helping of love -- this time across the pond as best-selling authors Rachel Cohn and David Levithan send Dash and Lily to England.

Dash and Lily were feeling closer than ever...it's just too bad they're now an ocean apart. After Dash gets accepted to Oxford University and Lily stays in New York to take care of her dog walking business, the devoted couple are struggling to make a long distance relationship work. And when Dash breaks the news that he won't be coming home for Christmas, Lily makes a decision: if Dash can't come to her, she'll join him in London. It's a perfect romantic gesture...that spins out of Lily's control. Soon Dash and Lily are feeling more of a gap between them, even though they're in the same city. Will London bring them together again-- or will it be their undoing?

My Thoughts:

I enjoyed Mind the Gap, Dash & Lily!  I'm kind of bummed that Netflix canceled the show after one season; it would have been nice to see the series continue with the books.  But I'm glad we have the sequels to read, to at least find out what happens to Dash and Lily.

While the second book wasn't my favorite, the third I liked more.  While Lily is still her scattered self, and Dash is still a too-serious dick at times, London was good for these characters.  You get a bit more insight into Dash's mind in this one, and to see him go through the anxiety attacks was eye opening for his character.  Lily finds herself a bit in this one, which was good to see, because honestly she was annoying me a bit in the second book.

I really liked the introduction of Dash's grandmother, Gem.  She was a great addition to the cast.

Overall Rating:

Even though this one takes place across the ocean, most of the characters from the previous novels make an appearance, besides Dash's parents, which to be honest is fine.  I like that we got more of Boomer and Sofia, and Lily's eccentric aunt is back too!  I love her!

If you read the first two, definitely finish the series, with Mind the Gap, Dash & Lily.
