Plagiarizing! Embarrassment! Reputations Ruined!

Hey Everyone! I have some apologizing to do!  However, before I go on, I want you all to know...I HONESTLY HAD NO IDEA!! So as some of you may have heard, a horrible act of plagiarism in the book world, and I unfortunately have been unintentionally (on my part) became involved! A few weeks ago, I received an email from the author accused of these allegations.  She first found me on Facebook asking me to promote her novel, and then emailed me.  I was excited to help, because I love helping indie authors get out their books into the world.  I never thought something like this would happen! Well, my post went up on her books release date. I will admit, I did not get a chance to read it.  I have also never read the book that was plagiarized, even though I believe I bought it for my Kindle when I first got it, but due to too many books that need to be read, it just never made it to the top of the list. I have since deleted the promotion post, and honestly right now, I'm qu

The Moon and More by Sarah Dessen (Review)

Image
Hey Everyone! So I just finished reading The Moon and More  by Sarah Dessen, which was released earlier this month! Here's my review: From  Goodreads : Luke is the perfect boyfriend: handsome, kind, fun. He and Emaline have been together all through high school in Colby, the beach town where they both grew up. But now, in the summer before college, Emaline wonders if perfect is good enough. Enter Theo, a super-ambitious outsider, a New Yorker assisting on a documentary film about a reclusive local artist. Theo's sophisticated, exciting, and, best of all, he thinks Emaline is much too smart for Colby. Emaline's mostly-absentee father, too, thinks Emaline should have a bigger life, and he's convinced that an Ivy League education is the only route to realizing her potential. Emaline is attracted to the bright future that Theo and her father promise. But she also clings to the deep roots of her loving mother, stepfather, and sisters. Can she ignore the pul

Hey Everyone!! So it's been a few months since the announcement of Meg-A Readers , and I wanted to give you all an update!! Diana, my amazing co-host , has designed this year's awesome blog tour button!! It looks great right?! As you can see the final dates have been posted!  July 2nd until September 28th!  Last year's Meg-A Readers was exactly two months, but because of the dates of Meg's releases this year being a little bit further apart, Diana and I decided to extend the time period and make it almost three months!  That way we have one week before Awaken , the third and final book in the Abandon  Trilogy, which is coming out July 2nd, and then one week after The Bride Wore Size 12 , which is coming out September 24th! :) So that's the update for now! :) Also there is still time for anyone who wants to, to sign up!! Dragonfly (#1 in Dragonfly Series) by Leigh Talbert Moore

Image
Today I'm very excited to be taking part in Leigh Talbert Moore's Dragonfly  blog tour! From  Goodreads : COMING THIS JUNE! On NetGalley until 5/27! ( http://bit.ly/YCz0cf ) “Gossip Girl meets VC Andrews in this contemporary family saga. Love, lies, and betrayal become the new normal when Anna enters the world of Jack and Lucy Kyser.” –Magan Vernon, international bestselling author of The Only Exception Anna Sanders expected an anonymous (and uneventful) senior year until she crossed paths with rich-and-sexy Jack Kyser and his twin sister Lucy. Pulling Anna into their extravagant lifestyle on the Gulf Coast, Lucy pushed her outside her comfort zone and Jack showed her feelings she's never experienced... Until he mysteriously withdrew. Anna turned to her internship at the city paper and to her old attraction for Julian, a handsome local artist and rising star, for distraction. But both led to her discovery of a decades-old secret closely guarded by the twins

The Au Pairs (The Au Pairs #1) by Melissa de la Cruz (Review)

Image
Finally another book off the To-Be-Read Shelf!!  VERY slowly making process on that one... Anyone, this time around I read Melissa de la Cruz's, if I'm not mistaken, Debut book The Au Pairs .  I picked this one up at a Goodwill about a year ago, because it seemed like a fun beach read! :) From Goodreads : Three girls with three agendas and the ultimate destination: the Hamptons. Summer in the city? Way overrated. Everybody who's anybody in New York City summers in the Hamptons. Mara, Eliza, and Jacqui all want a piece of the action, all for different reasons. So the girls answer a classified ad to become au pairs. How bad can it be, watching a couple of kids on the beach all day? They've got the swank address, the sweet ride, and an all-access pass to the hottest social scene on the East Coast. It's shaping up to be the summer of their lives. My Thoughts: I'm just going to say it right away...this book was a tad annoying.  Out of the three main ch

Secrets and Lies by Kody Keplinger (Novella)

Image
Hey Everyone!! So I vaguely remember hearing that Kody Keplinger was releasing two new short stories this year, but what I didn't realize was how soon!! As in June 1st soon!! So on Tuesday, as I was purchasing my copies of The Moon and More by Sarah Dessen and my copy of Entwined with you  by Sylvia Day, I got an email saying Secrets and Lies  is out now!!  And guess what it was only $2.99!!! So yeah, I got it right away!! And read it!! :) From  Amazon : Kody Keplinger both returns to the halls of Hamilton High and explores new territory in her collection of two e-book exclusive novellas. In these short stories, the author revisits a familiar cast of characters from THE DUFF (Designated Ugly Fat Friend) and A Midsummer's Nightmare. Explore the uniquely teen world of high school drama, secrets, and romantic entanglements from completely fresh perspectives that will intrigue fans of Kody Keplinger and new readers alike. My Thoughts: I am a huge Kody Keplin

Faking It Release Day Launch!

Image
Today is the release day and book birthday of Cora Carmack's second release Faking It !!! :) I read this one last week, and loved it!  You can check out my review  HERE !  ABOUT FAKING IT: Mackenzie “Max” Miller has a problem. Her parents have arrived in town for a surprise visit, and if they see her dyed hair, tattoos, and piercings, they just might disown her. Even worse, they’re expecting to meet a nice, wholesome boyfriend, not a guy named Mace who has a neck tattoo and plays in a band. All her lies are about to come crashing down around her, but then she meets Cade. Cade moved to Philadelphia to act and to leave his problems behind in Texas. So far though, he’s kept the problems and had very little opportunity to take the stage. When Max approaches him in a coffee shop with a crazy request to pretend to be her boyfriend, he agrees to play the part. But when Cade plays the role a little too well, they’re forced to keep the ruse going. And the more they f
