The Duke and I (Bridgerton #1) by Julia Quinn

Hello Everyone!! I have read officially read my first book of 2021!! YAY!!  This is a huge accomplishment for me!  Being a new mom, does not give me a lot of me-time, but I have an amazing husband who allows me some time for myself every so often, so I have been using bath-time to get some reading in. By the way, before I get into my review, I found this really awesome feature through the Kindle App on my phone!  I'm sure most people have figured this out, but I found it really neat!  So I bought the first six Bridgerton through Books-A-Million.com.  However, I'm going to just say it, they are awful with their customer service, sending books, etc.  The only reason I ended up buying through them this time around is because the Bridgerton  novels were buy 2 get 1 free, and they were supposed to be in stock.  This is actually the second time I've had issues with them, the first time was when I preordered Midnight Sun  last, which was signe...

Shrill by Lindy West

Hey Everyone, I know it's been a while...a long while.  And to be honest, I don't know how many will read this, not that I have ever known; but I'm sure it is no where near how many people used to read.  I'll probably write a post soon, about life updates and such. But I just got back from a life-long dream trip, and had a six hour plane ride.  So what do you do what when you're sitting in the most uncomfortable seat, squished between two people, and can't sleep?  Read! I recently binge-watched the six episodes that Hulu released of the show Shrill .  I didn't realize it was only six episodes long until after I had finished them, and the seventh episode wouldn't load...boooo!!!!! I was super hooked!  How empowering to finally have a show released about a plus size girl kicking ass in the world!  Aidy Bryant was awesome in the show! As someone who has struggled with their weight their entire life, this show immediately caught my attention when...

The Next Best Thing by Jennifer Weiner Review

Image
Hey Everyone!! Today's a sad day... Why? One word... School. Summer has come and gone, way too fast, friends have left to head off to their schools, and now it's time to get back to business. Luckily, I believe I will still have time for reading, because my online classes allow me to do that!  Which is AWESOME!!! Reviews might just not be coming in as normal as usual.  But I'm hoping to have at least one up a week! :) So now to my review!! Actually before I go into The Next Best Thing , I wanted to say some back ground information about Jennifer Weiner, the author. Jennifer Weiner is not only the bestselling author of books like In Her Shoes , which was made into a movie quite a few years ago, featuring Cameron Diaz; but she was also the writer and creator of the ABC Family TV series State of Georgia , which featured Raven Symone ( The Cosby Show & That's So Raven ). Why am I bringing this up, you may be wondering? Well, after reading The Next...

So it's been almost two years since I last read a Pretty Little Liars book.  I've had Twisted sitting on my bookshelf since its release last July!  This series was supposed to be over with Number 8!!! BUT NO!!! Sara Shepard decided to write ANOTHER 4!!! This December, FINALLY, the 12th and final Pretty Little Liars is being released (at least, I'm really hoping it's the last! In fact I've been hoping for the last book for the past 7 flipping years!!! Sara Shepard if I could just say one thing to you...YOU ARE KILLING ME!!!!!!!!!!!!! Okay, so let's begin... So for those of you who haven't read the series, or seen the TV show (which btw, is WAY different than the books!!, but sort of gives you the overall idea of the series) then I'd recommend you not reading this description and review, because might be SPOILERS!!! That is a warning!!! So anyway, before I give away way too much about what happened in this book here's G...
