The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo by Taylor Jenkins Reid (Audiobook)

Hey Everyone! Better late than never, but I'm so unbelievably behind on reviews, and there is just no way that I'm catching up this point, so I'm just going to start anew, and start reviewing again what I read.  I might go back and fill in reviews for books I read this year, later on, just so they can be added to my reviewed page. But that is for a later time.  Due to my recovery, I'm having more downtime, and I am getting some serious reading in this last week of 2022.  I ended up getting in a last minute book that I honestly almost didn't read after finally getting it from the waitlist at my local library; but am so glad I gave it a chance, because the ending made it become one of my favorites of 2022. So here is my review of The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo  by Taylor Jenkins Reid. From Goodreads: From the New York Times bestselling author of Daisy Jones & the Six - an entrancing and "wildly addictive journey of a reclusive Hollywood starlet" (Pop...

Heartstopper: Volume 4 by Alice Oseman (Graphic Novel)

Book #2 of 2022 ✔! Now it was a graphic novel, therefore a fun easy read for me, but still think I'm off to a great start in 2022!    I'm also so excited to have gotten my hands on this one early, because it technically isn't supposed to be released until tomorrow!  But for some reason my local Barnes and Noble already had copies sitting on the shelf, so I ended up sneaking into my pile during the 50% off hardbacks sale, even though this one was a paperback 😉. From Goodreads: Boy meets boy. Boys become friends. Boys fall in love. The bestselling LGBTQ+ graphic novel about life, love, and everything that happens in between: this is the fourth volume of HEARTSTOPPER, for fans of The Art of Being Normal, Holly Bourne and Love, Simon. Charlie didn't think Nick could ever like him back, but now they're officially boyfriends. Charlie's beginning to feel ready to say those three little words: I love you. Nick's been feeling the same, but he's got a lot on his...

Heartstopper Volume 1-3 by Alice Oseman (Graphic Novels)

Hey Everyone! My husband and I recently moved our little family to a new town, and last week we decided to go for a walk together and check out our new (to us) local library.  It was such a great experience, because for one, I haven't set foot in a library in quite some time (both due to Covid, but also because my old local library wasn't really all that great), and two because we have such a great library now.  They have a beautiful children's section, decked out with a giant pirate's ship, columns holding up the building that look like giant books, and a wonderfully stocked Young Adult section.   They had an ample supply of graphic novels, and because of my newly found obsession this year, on graphic novels, I found myself filling the stroller with those initially.  I ended up with four graphic novels, and two regular chapter novels.  To which my husband said, "That's probably enough."  Well, challenge was accepted apparently, because I finished all...

Hey Everyone! I waited all day today for my mail.  Why? Because three awesome books were released today! And two of them were expected to come in today! (One I'm waiting on, because I ordered a signed copy, and those always take longer to arrive).   I ended up devouring my first one already...and okay it was a graphic novel, but I was so excited for it, and just couldn't help myself. Poison Ivy: Thorns  Written by the fabulous Kody Keplinger and illustrated by the very talented Sara Kipin! From Goodreads: New York Times bestselling author of The DUFF  Kody Keplinger and artist Sara Kipin reimagine an iconic DC antihero with a gothic-horror twist. There's something unusual about Pamela Isley-- the girl who hides behind her bright red hair.  The girl who won't let anyone inside to see what's lurking behind the curtains.  The girl who goes to extreme lengths to care for a few plants. Pamela Isley doesn't trust other people, especially men. ...
