P.S. I Still Love You (To All the Boys I've Loved Before #2) by Jenny Han

Image
Hey Everyone! So we haven't had real internet in a few days where we live, and since our phones need wifi to work in our area, and we do not have cable, and heavily rely on Netflix and Hulu, it has been an interesting few days.  At this moment, I am using my hotspot on my phone, and utilizing the one bar I have in the corner of the bedroom.  Hey whatever works, right? Tomorrow, fingers crossed , we should be getting the whole no-internet fiasco fixed, but in the mean time, I've been getting a lot of reading done, during my mornings off.  And I have to say, it's been really glorious! I have not only finished P.S. I Still Love You, the second book in the To All the Boys I've Loved Before  series, but also managed to read Tahereh Mafi's latest book A Very Large Expanse of Sea  in a day, just in time to see her on Saturday at YA'll West!  I honestly, didn't expect to finish it!  I'm amazed at myself, at the moment! From Goodreads: Lara ...

Clockwork Princess (#3 in the Infernal Devices Trilogy) by Cassandra Clare

Image
***WARNING!!! MAY CONTAIN SPOILERS FROM PREVIOUS BOOKS IN THE INFERNAL DEVICES TRILOGY!!!*** Let me just begin this review by saying I literally just used up half a box of tissues as I read the last 30 or so pages of Clockwork Princess . I'm a very emotional person.  Especially when it comes to the books I'm reading. I can't even tell you how many times I have cried while reading a book...just to name a few... Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince , Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Princess Forever (the 10th Princess Diaries book by Meg Cabot) , The Fault in Our Stars  by John Green, Thirteen Reasons Why  by Jay Asher...the list goes on and on! Let me also say, I fall in love with characters.  Like a deep love!  Like deep deep love!  I find myself pretending that the main character is usually my best friend, and I'm listening to her story, as I'm falling in love with the main male character of the story!  That's how it is! I can't help it!...

Wings by Aprilynne Pike Review

Image
So I've been trying to read Wings for probably about the last two years!  I started reading it two summers ago off of a friend's Nook, and got about a 1/4 way through.  I ended up buying about a year ago at Barnes and Noble, so I could eventually finish it! Well I've FINALLY finished it!! From Goodreads : Laurel was mesmerized, staring at the pale things with wide eyes. They were terrifyingly beautiful--too beautiful for words. Laurel turned to the mirror again, her eyes on the hovering petals that floated beside her head. They looked almost like wings. In this extraordinary tale of magic and intrigue, romance and danger, everything you thought you knew about faeries will be changed forever. My Thoughts: While that description may be short, it is also the perfect way to describe this book! Aprilynne Pike has an Imagination! An absolute beautiful one!  The description of the wings was gorgeous!  My mom, who actually read this one before me, ...

Andrea Cremer at the Breathless Panel speaking table My signed copy of Nightshade   Well, I have FINALLY found the time to read Nightshade , after these past seven or eight months!
