2018 Update

Hello Everyone, It's been a while.  August...Wow!  My 7 year blog anniversary passed in December, I failed at that.  To be honest, I don't even know what to say at this point.  I've been in a reading rut for quite some time, and trying to find something that peaks my interest, but nothing has.  It's bad.  I know my passion for reading is still there...somewhere.  I mean you don't go from reading over 100 books in a year, to nothing!  I know it will come back. Things have been difficult, if I'm being honest.  The stress level in my life has been at a 100 for so long now, and the sad part work isn't even what is causing it! So to give you a couple of updates about what has happened since my last post... 1. As of August I am working two jobs.  One is as an assistant teacher in a toddler classroom at a preschool.  And for my second job, I got a promotion over the summer and became the supervisor of the after school program I wor...

Meg-A Readers Kick off!!!! :)

You guys!!! It's Here!! It's Really, really here!  I can't believe this day has come! It's Here, It's Here, It's Here, It's HERE! Meg-A Readers has OFFICIALLY BEGUN!!!! :) Wow, with all the changes that had to be made this year, the extensions, it is so nice to just finally be able to start Meg-A Readers! Diana  and I extremely excited to share with you this event, because we've got some super fun things planned! Not only is Meg Cabot supporting Meg-A Readers AGAIN this year!! She sent both Diana and I a box of goodies to giveaway... Look at all those lovelies!!! :) So here's what in store for next few months: -Every week we'll be having the participants post something Meg related!  Whether it be a review on one of Meg's books, an interview with a character, a story on how they met Meg or came across their first Meg Cabot book...the possibilities are endless!! -On Fridays, Diana and I will be writing recaps on the we...

I read this great book a couple of years ago, and I loved it so much.  It was called Jemima J . and it is by Jane Green.  The book was so memorable, that I still recommend it to my friends everytime one of them asks me for a great read.  The novel is about a woman named Jemima, who lives in England and is overweight, and always being pushed around by the roommates and even her friends.  She finally gets tired of it, especially after one of her friends, a really cute guy, who she also happens to be in love with, moves away to do a different job; so she decides to change. Along the way she starts a relationship over the internet with a hot guy from California, pretending to be a skinny hot girl.  And she ends up visiting him in California.  Her extraordinary change along the way is what really made the story interesting to me.
