Image
Happy Sunday everyone!! :) Goodness, I have spent all day enjoying a nice relaxing day of being lazy!  In fact, I finally got around to finishing the second Vampire Academy book Frostbite !  It's only a bit over a week since I started it, but I was getting a little frustrated that I couldn't continue reading it, when I had to do homework instead...because let me just say, this series is GOOD!!!! I love it so much!! I'm so unbelievably looking forward to reading the next books in the series. In fact, right now I'm holding myself back from going immediately to Barnes and Noble.com and buying right away, because unfortunately I need gas money this week ;(. Anyway, let me get to the review of Richelle Mead's second book in the Vampire Academy Series,   Frostbite ! From Goodreads : Rose loves Dimitri, Dimitri might love Tasha, and Mason would die to be with Rose...   It’s winter break at St. Vladimir’s, but Rose is feeling anything but festive. A massive Strig...

Crescendo (#2 in Hush, Hush Series) by Becca Fitzpatrick

Image
Yes!! I have had this one sitting on my shelf for over a year now! I read the first in Becca Fitzpatrick's  Hush, Hush  Series back in December of 2011, and I ended up buying the second book Crescendo  almost immediately thereafter.  And believe me, when I say I've been wanting to read this book, since buying it!! However, due to requests, blog tours, and other obligations I either haven't had the time or forgot every time I did have the chance! But now I finally have!! :) And it was awesome! From  Goodreads : Nora Grey's life is still far from perfect. Surviving an attempt on her life wasn't pleasant, but at least she got a guardian angel out of it. A mysterious, magnetic, gorgeous guardian angel. But despite his role in her life, Patch has been acting anything but angelic. He's more elusive than ever (if that's possible) and what's worse, he seems to be spending time with Nora's archenemy, Marcie Millar. Nora would have hardly noticed Sc...

Reflected In You (#2 in Crossfire Trilogy) by Sylvia Day

Image
***WARNING***THIS BOOK CONTAINS GRAPHIC ADULT CONTENT, NOT SUITABLE FOR ANYONE UNDER THE AGE OF 18!!*** From  Goodreads : Gideon Cross. As beautiful and flawless on the outside as he was damaged and tormented on the inside. He was a bright, scorching flame that singed me with the darkest of pleasures. I couldn't stay away. I didn't want to. He was my addiction... my every desire... mine. My past was as violent as his, and I was just as broken. We’d never work. It was too hard, too painful... except when it was perfect. Those moments when the driving hunger and desperate love were the most exquisite insanity.  We were bound by our need. And our passion would take us beyond our limits to the sweetest, sharpest edge of obsession... My Thoughts: Reflected In You is the the second book in the Crossfire Trilogy ! While, I admit I enjoyed this one, because of the dynamic relationship between Gideon and Eva, I will admit that at the same time it got to  b...

The second book in Lisa Renee Jones's Novella series, Rebecca's Lost Journals , takes off where the first volume, Seduction , left off...with the contract that is given to Rebecca by "the Master"... In this one, Rebecca has to make the tough decision, on whether she wants to risk her feelings in take part in this relationship that the mystery man, known as "The Master" has set up for her.  Will she say yes?  Is it something she can do to herself? I have honestly been waiting since February 23rd, 2012, last year to get my hands on Scarlet , the second book in the Lunar Chronicles !  February 23rd, being the day I finished reading Cinder of course! :) And OMG, the wait was 100% worth it!! :) From Goodreads : Cinder returns in the second thrilling installment of the New York Times -bestselling Lunar Chronicles. Fifty Shades Darker (Fifty Shades of Grey #2) by EL James

Image
***WARNING!!! THIS BOOK CONTAINS MATURE ADULT CONTENT NOT MEANT FOR YOUNGER AUDIENCES!!*** The Fifty Shades Trilogy by EL James has had many people on their toes over the past few months.  Why? Honestly, I guess there are quite a few answers that could be given, but overall, I keep asking myself the same thing...WHY?? Just like with Fifty Shades of Grey I'm still not sure what to think of this series. The thing is, is some ways I somehow understand why women are loving this series.  But then at the same time I can't help but feel disgusted! Women want to be taken seriously.  They want their independence, they want to have the same, and equal rights as men, but at the same time they want to feel loved, protected, and taken care of by their loved one.  I get it. I do. I know I want that one day.   But there is just so much WRONG with Anastasia Steele and Christian Grey's relationship. Before I go into these wrongs (and please take into considera...

Still on My Mind #8

Image
Still on My Mind is a weekly meme, featured on Thursday, started by Haley over at Ya-Aholic , where you discuss a book you've either recently read, or read over the past few years, that's still on your mind. This week's Still on My Mind is... I know this is a sequel, but to be honest this book is the reason why I really liked Suzanne Collin's novels The Hunger Games .  This book had so much action, was interesting from beginning until end, and kept me on my toes through out.  I liked the first and third in the series, but they got to be a bit much for me sometimes.  This is a tough series, psychologically, speaking in my opinion.  I've discussed it recent posts ( Like THIS one! ). Since everyone around the world, pretty much, knows about what happens in at least the first book in the series, I don't think this Goodreads description will be too much of a giveaway of what happened in the first book: Against all odds, Katniss has won the Hunger Ga...

Still on My Mind #7

Image
Still on My Mind is a weekly meme, featured on Thursday, started by Haley over at Ya-Aholic , where you discuss a book you've either recently read, or read over the past few years, that's still on your mind. For this week's Still on My Mind I have decided to choose a book that I absolutely loved!  Something that was very rare about this book was that it was a sequel, and I loved it even more than the first! How often is it that a SEQUEL is even better than the first??!! I mean don't get me wrong I really liked the first novel, but there was something about the sequel that was just so beautiful! Whether it was the super hot musician main character, or the heartbreaking story...I personally think it was both...but it was just amazing, and reasons why this book is on my top 10 all time favorite books of all time.  I actually got to meet Gayle Forman in April, and she was so sweet! You can read about my experience HERE! So anyway, here's this weeks Still on My...

Meg-A Readers Read-a-Thon Book #1: Size 14 is Not Fat Either

Image
So I've been reading like crazy all day, and was able to ALREADY finish my first book in the Read-A-Thon!! Book 2 in the Heather Wells Series: Size 14 is Not Fat Either by Meg Cabot! This is actually my second time reading this series...I originally read it in 2009 (my second semester of my senior year in high school)...but I REALLY wanted to reread it in honor of the new release Size 12 and Ready to Rock , so my memory will be extra excellent when I read it in a couple of weeks!! :) ***WARNING: MAY CONTAIN SPOILERS FOUND IN BOOK 1 OF SERIES ( Size 12 is Not Fat )*** Heather Wells is back! She's finally been able to move on from a tough first couple of months of working at Fischer Hall, a dorm, I mean residence hall at New York College; after a series of deaths that occurred as girls were being shoved down elevator shafts.  Heather is excited to finally begin her work on her BA, but before she is able to she unfortunately needs to take a remedial math course...

Pandemonium by Lauren Oliver

Image
First off, before I start off this review, I have to get something off my chest: DO YOU SEE THAT EYE??? Isn't that freaky??!! Okay, I felt like there was a demon eye staring at me the entire time I was reading Pandemonium !! And in some lighting areas the eye looked BLACK!!!!  SUPER freaky!! So NOW to the review: ***WARNING!!! MAY CONTAIN SPOILERS FROM FIRST BOOK IN SERIES DELIRIUM *** I'm going to be using the description from Goodreads : "I'm pushing aside the memory of my nightmare, pushing aside thoughts of Alex, pushing aside thoughts of Hana and my old school, push, push, push, like Raven taught me to do. The old life is dead. But the old Lena is dead too. I buried her. I left her beyond a fence, behind a wall of smoke and flame. Lauren Oliver delivers an electrifying follow-up to her acclaimed New York Times bestseller, Delirium. This riveting, brilliant novel crackles with the fire of fierce defiance, forbidden romance,...

Ink Exchange by Melissa Marr Review

Wow, I feel so bad everyone! My heart hasn't been in my books in the last couple of weeks...unfortunately. Here's my problem... The List!! Yes the DAMN LIST!!!! I HATE IT!!!!!!!!! Over the past couple of months, I've been getting an insane amount of emails from authors, requesting me to read their latest novel...which you know is ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!! Authors want ME to read their novels???!!! But here's the problem...I ended up promising too many authors that I would read their books by a specific time, and have the review up by a such and such date.  It's gotten too much! Over the past couple of months the fun of reading has almost been taken away from me...something that I have a serious problem with! Here's the thing though...and I don't want anyone thinking I don't love getting author requests...I DO!!!, it's just reading is supposed to fun! Not scheduled! I now realize it is my own mistake, I should have gone a different way with eac...
