Royals (aka "Prince Charming") (Royals #1) by Rachel Hawkins

Image
Hey Everyone!   So I finished another book! I actually just upped my  Goodreads  reading goal, because I had it set to 10, and I've already surpassed it! I have it now set to 25, which if I keep going the way I have been these last few months, I shouldn't have a problem at all!  :).  It was a long week for us!  We had appointments after appointments.  And then on Friday I did the most horrible thing...dropped my phone into our pond.  ðŸ˜ðŸ˜ðŸ˜ðŸ˜ðŸ˜ It is gone.  We can't find it.  Our pond is super deep, and you can't see to the bottom.  My husband tried for hours!  He went in, and swam around, and then I ran from store to store to find a huge magnet and rope, and then he went fishing for it for hours and hours.  But no luck.  So Friday we got to run to the Apple Store in the evening and get me a new phone.  I'm just super bummed, because normally I would love a new phone, but I truly love my XS Max.  And t...

No Offense (Little Bridge Island Series #2)

Image
Hey Everyone! I took a little break from reading this weekend, to go the opening of Disneyland.  My husband and I took our son and got to be there from Thursday through Monday.  We had the best time, and it didn't leave much time (or any) for reading.  But today, I ended up just reading every chance I got, and just zoomed through Meg Cabot's second book in the Little Bridge Island Series . From Goodreads:  A broken engagement only gave Molly Montgomery additional incentive to follow her dream job from the Colorado Rockies to the Florida Keys.  Now, as Little Bridge Island Public Library's head of children's services, Molly hopes the messiest thing in her life will be her sticky-note covered desk.  But fate-- in the form of a newborn left in the restroom-- has other ideas.  So does the sheriff who comes to investigates the "abandonment".  The man's arrogance is almost as distracting as his blue eyes. Almost... Recently divorced, John has been...

No Judgements (Little Bridge Island #1) by Meg Cabot (ARC Review)

Image
Hey Everyone! I honestly didn't think I would be approved, but holy moly NetGalley approved me!!! I got approved for Meg Cabot's latest adult novel No Judgements !!  She hasn't released a new series in years, especially an adult one, so I have been really looking forward to this one!!!   From Goodreads : The storm of the century is about to hit Little Bridge Island, Florida -- and it's sending waves crashing through Sabrina "Bree" Beckham's love life... When a massive hurricane severs all power and cell service to Little Bridge Island --as well as its connection to the mainland -- twenty-five-year-old Bree Beckham isn't worried...at first.  She's already escaped one storm -- her emotionally abusive ex -- so a hurricane seems like it will be a piece of cake. But animal-loving Bree does become alarmed when she realizes how many islanders have been cut off from their beloved pets.  Now it's up to her to save as many of Littl...

Bridal Boot Camp (Little Bridge Island #0.5) by Meg Cabot (Novella Review)

Image
Yay for Lazy Sundays! It's only a 50 page novella, but I managed to start and finish Meg Cabot's newest story, Bridal Boot Camp , which is the novella that has kicked off her new series, Little Bridge Island !  The first official novel in the series will be out in September, and it is called No Judgement .  I am so excited to read something new by Meg!  Especially an adult novel! My husband and my anniversary is coming up this week.  We are celebrating six years together!  It is on Thursday and because I'll be working, we both decided yesterday to start celebrating a little early, and enjoy a full day with each other.  He ended up giving me a brand new Kindle!  My birthday is next month and I had mentioned I would really like a new one, because mine is eight or nine years old at this point, and doesn't really hold a charge anymore.  And since the new ones have the back lit screen to make night time reading better, I was sold! I wasn't expect...

Royal Wedding (Princess Diaries #11) by Meg Cabot (Audiobook Review)

Image
Hello Everyone, So I have an amazing husband!  I mean, I already knew this, but wow, did I get lucky! So he knows how big of a fan of Meg Cabot I am.  Especially her Princess Diaries  series!  Well, I've been on an audiobook kick, because my head has been able to concentrate on a book in ages, and audiobooks are the only thing that have allowed me to continue "reading". Anyway, a couple of weeks ago, I got my hands on the audiobook of Royal Wedding (which is the final book in the series), and have been listening to that.  Well, last week I get home, and guess what was in the mail?? The ENTIRE series on audiobook!!  My husband legitimately ordered me The Princess Diaries Series  on AUDIOBOOK!!! So I have something to listen to over the next YEAR! Anyway, here is my review for the audiobook of Royal Wedding , the final installation in the Princess Diaries Series . From Goodreads : For Princess Mia, the past five years since college g...

From the Notebooks of a Middle School Princess: Royal Crush (#3) by Meg Cabot

Image
Hey Everyone! So once again, it's been a few months.  I don't even know what is my life anymore, to be honest.  Let's see what has happened since my last post... 1.  I graduated!  I officially have my Bachelors Degree in Early Childhood Studies! 2.  My husband and I had a wedding celebration for all our friends and family.  We had quite a bit of family from Germany come for the occasion, which was amazing <3. 3.  My husband and I got a three day mini-getaway to beautiful Palm Springs.  That was amazing! 4.  I just got a promotion for my job, and a second job! Life has been crazy. This past year...I just don't know.  Next month, it will be a year, since I lost my dad.  That's been hitting me more and more.  Overall though, this summer has just been spent attempting to recuperate a bit.  Things have been a bit everywhere though, just taking care of a lot of things, that I couldn't while doing school.  Withou...

The Boy is Back (ARC) by Meg Cabot and 2016, the year from HELL!

Image
Hello Everyone, I know I have been absent for a few months now, since the beginning of my school semester.  And while school has been keeping me busy, there have been other things that have happened in my life. So before I go into my last review of 2016, I want to tell you guys something that has changed my life forever. On Wednesday September 14th around 5:30 pm my entire world was turned upside down.  My dad, at the age 46, suffered from a major heart attack.  It happened at home, while my brother and him were working on a project together.  The ambulance came, and the paramedic were able to resuscitate him; but unfortunately the damage had been done. On Thursday September 22nd, 2016 at 6:25 pm my dad died from brain damage, caused by the lack of oxygen during the heart attack.  My dad is my hero, and will always be.  He was the most hard working person I have ever met, and he has always inspired me to go after my dreams. To say things have been...

Royal Day Out (From the Notebooks of a Middle School Princess #1.5) (Novella Review)

Image
Second book done during my summer break, and it's only week 2!!! Okay, okay, so it was a short novella, but it was a Meg Cabot novella, so of course it had to be read of course!! I finished it no time! From Goodreads: Olivia Grace Clarisse Mignonette Harrison never thought that being a real life PRINCESS OF GENOVIA could ever be boring, but with all of the news vans and paparazzi staked out in front of the palace, the whole family has been on lockdown for weeks.  So when Grandmere suggests a shopping trip to buy a small present for Princess Mia, Olivia jumps at the chance -- especially since the shopping trips comes with the promise of lunch at the Royal Genovian Yacht Club (makers of the best ice cream sundae in the world)! Surely nothing could go wrong with such a simple day out, could it? A quick shopping trip with her royal Grandmere turns into a much bigger deal than Olivia Grace, the newest Princess of Genovia expected in this e-short edition to Meg Cabot's i...

From the Notebooks of a Middle School Princess: Royal Wedding Disaster (#2) by Meg Cabot

Image
Hey Everyone!! Oh it is good to be back!  It's Day 1 of summer break (at least from school work) and I've already finished my first book!  I'm hoping to get time to read quite a bit this summer! I've missed it, and The Romance Bookie! Of course, since a new Meg Cabot book came out last week, I knew I had to make it my first summer read for 2016! It is sadly also the first book I have completed since February 26th!!  How sad!! But anyway, time for the review!! From Goodreads: You are invited to a Genovian Royal Wedding in this second book pulled FROM THE NOTEBOOKS OF A MIDDLE SCHOOL PRINCES, a Princess Diaries  spin-off series, written and illustrated by New York Times- bestselling author Meg Cabot. Olivia Grace Clarisse Mignonette Harrison still finds it hard to believe that she's a real live PRINCESS OF GENOVIA.  Not only does she get to live in an actual palace with her newly discovered family and two fabulous poodles (who all love her and thi...

The Proposal (#6.5 in the Mediator Series) by Meg Cabot (Novella)

Image
I have had this week off for President's Week from my work, so I thought it would be a good time to at least get a little reading done, when I'm not having to do homework or go to the Dentist!  So after finally being able to download it onto my Kindle (no internet!), I have been able to read Meg Cabot's novella that is the predecessor to Meg's latest edition to the Mediator Series , Remembrance.   This one is called  The Proposal  and it is a short, fun story giving us readers (adult readers!) the proposal that we didn't get to hear the story about in Remembrance ! When I met Meg last week, she mentioned to us listeners that what is great about this two new editions to the Mediator  series, is that they can stand along from the original young adult series, that accompanies these two new books.  However, I do recommend you read the original series, either before or after, preferably before, because let's not spoil the story! Now to the review of The Prop...

Meg Cabot Signing February 11th, 2016!

Image
Hey Everyone! Hope everyone is having a great start to their 2016!  For me, it's been busy, but very good! It started with a little time off, which was much needed!  I experienced my first ever Spa day!  Got my first ever professional massage! Which felt amazing!  And then afterwards a facial!  I felt so spoiled that day! Then work started up again, and by the end of January I was back for my second semester at University.  And let me just say, the work load is in full swing!  The Introduction week of having our syllabuses passed out was more of a "here is three papers and a full-blown project" week!  But it's all good, the beginning of a semester means one step closer to graduation!  Spring 2017 can't get here soon enough! 2015 ended with some very exciting news...I have been looking and looking since 2012, and FINALLY it was announced!!  Meg Cabot was coming back to Southern California!!!!!  So I saved the date, luckily did...

Remembrance (Mediator #7) by Meg Cabot (ARC)

Image
When it comes to Meg Cabot, you can always guarantee that she will listen to her fans!   While I loved the Mediator series, which I read back in high school, I never expected there to be an adult sequel to the series...but I am so glad she did!! As some of my readers may know, I have been in a reading rut for quite some time now...about two years, but Meg Cabot is the one author I can ALWAYS count on to get me out of the rut...for at least long enough to finish what her latest novel is :). Remembrance is a must for all Mediator fans... Oh wait, I should probably write my review first... ;) NOTE:  THIS IS AN ARC review, so their may be changes to the final copy, out February 2nd! From Goodreads : In REMEMBRANCE, the seventh installment of the Mediator series, all Susannah Simon wants is to make a good impression at her first job since graduating from college (and becoming engaged to Dr. Jesse de Silva). But when she stumbles across an ancien...

Meg-A Readers 2015 Week 5! Final Week!

Image
Hey Everyone!!! I can't believe Meg-A Readers is already over!!! I'm so sad, with how little I was able to do this year! I have this whole plan of reading all the Meg Cabot books I haven't read yet (which pretty much is just the Allie Finkle series and Meg's Historical Romances), but of course life took over! So instead today, on this last day of the 2015 Meg-A Readers I am going to celebrate that it has been TEN YEARS since I picked and read my first Meg Cabot book!  The sad part is that I wouldn't even be able to tell you which book by Meg Cabot was the first I read!  I think it may have either been All-American Girl  or the first Princess Diaries .  I think it was PD though, because I remember going to library at my high school, freshman year, needing a book to read so I could accumulate 1,000 pages in independent reading for my English class.  I saw the first PD book on the shelf, and thought, "Oooh I loved that movie! Why not?!" And that was...

Meg-A Readers Recap Week 4! WITH GIVEAWAY!!! (US Shipping Only!)

Image
Hey Everyone! So unfortunately this year Meg-A Readers is not going at all like I had hoped.  I'm so sorry, I feel like such a flake, but this is a really tough time right now.  You see, I am transferring in the fall to University.  It's taken SIX years of Community college, because I work two jobs, and to be honest due to personal reasons it's taken me a bit longer than most.  Anyway, I've finally made it one step closer to achieving my dream of becoming an elementary school teacher!  I got my Associated of Science this semester in Liberal Arts, and was supposed to transfer to a University in my area.  However, I've been having some serious anxiety problems when it comes to commuting yet again for another THREE and a HALF years (that is my bachelors and teaching credentials), because I will end up having to give up my school job...the one job I actually need to keep my foot in the door.  But here's the problem...I can't commute three to four times a...
