Emily Giffin signing in Los Angeles (Thursday June 5th, 2014)

I did something really exciting on Thursday! I got to meet Emily Giffin at the Grove in Los Angeles! :) 2014 has been an amazing year so far with me going to signings! I've had the opportunity to meet so many amazing authors!  I definitely give all the credit to me having my driver's license, but also just to the fact that 2014 seems to have had some amazing author coming within two hours of where I live! :)  There might another one I'm going in late July if all things work out! :) Anyway to the EMILY GIFFIN signing!!! To this signing I went with my amazing mom!  I drag her along with me sometimes :). We got there right on time, got my wristband after I bought my copy of Emily's latest release, The One and Only , which hit shelves on May 20th!  We had excellent seats! That's me and my mom behind that empty seat in the front row! The picture above is also the one Emily Giffin took herself, for her tour pics :). View of the stage before... Here...

Still on My Mind #12

Still on My Mind is a weekly meme, featured on Thursday, started by Haley over at Ya-Aholic , where you discuss a book you've either recently read, or read over the past few years, that's still on your mind. I became obsessed with this week's Still on My Mind, last year.  I originally read the book, because even though I'd seen the book around Target numerous times, the ultimate thing that led me to buying it was the release of the movie, which starred Kate Hudson.  I devoured this book within a couple of days, and bought the second one as soon as I had the opportunity to.  Recently, I read a short prequel, that the author offered for free in ebook form, and was happy to get back into their world. For this week's Still on My Mind, I have chosen Something Borrowed   and Something Blue by Emily Giffin. Something Borrowed 's description from Goodreads : "Something Borrowed" tells the story of Rachel, a young attorney living and working i...

The Diary of Darcy J. Rhone by Emily Giffin

Image
After having read both Something Borrowed & Something Blue by Emily Giffin, and absolutely falling in LOVE with them both, I couldn't help but jump up and down with excitement when I read somewhere that Emily Giffin had written a PREQUEL to this lovely series!  And not only was there another book in the series, but it was also FREE!!!  Yup that's right, yet another fabulous book (okay, so in this case SHORT story) offered for FREE on AMAZON!! Got to LOVE Amazon!! Right?? Well anyway, The Diary of Darcy J. Rhone is a short Prequel (only about 75 pages) (and only available through Ebook, as of right now, I believe) of the story of none other than Darcy, who was featured in both Something Borrowed & Something Blue , but was the Main Character in Something Blue .   In Diary of Darcy J. Rhone is the story of Darcy at the age of fifteen-eighteen.  It's an inside look of how truly witchy Darcy was back in her good-old high school days....
