Midnight Sun by Stephenie Meyer (Audiobook)

Image
Hey! Today I have a review for a book that I have been waiting a LONG time to read!  It was finally released officially last year so I have the chance for a while to read it, but didn't get to it until now.  I ended up getting the audiobook of it, because I have recently really gotten into planning, and decorating said planners, and all things to do with planners (calendars, stickers, Washi tape, Happy Planner accessories, etc).  It's become a serious addiction, but a nice welcome to getting my head out this crazy world we live in.  Anyway, my head hasn't been in picking up a physical book in a while, so I figured let's try an audiobook, instead of watching yet another random movie from Netflix.  Anyway, let's get to it...the review for Midnight Sun , a review over a decade in the making. From Goodreads: When Edward Cullen and Bella Swan met in Twilight , an iconic love story was born.  But until now, fans have heard only Bella's side of the story. ...

Update from The Romance Bookie! :)

Hey Everyone! I know I know it's been a while.  The hiatus I put the Romance Bookie on has done me a lot of good; that being said though I have definitely missed reading!! We are less than a few weeks away from The Romance Bookie's FIVE YEAR Blogaversary!!!  I can't believe it's been 5 years! Wow, what a ride it's been!  Not only was my world turned upside down by books and meeting such incredible authors and people in the book world, but also my overall life has changed so much! Next month, I will be letting go of one of my jobs, because life is crazy with two jobs, five classes, and spending time with my loved ones.  I will have some much needed time off, during the winter break.  First time in three years, where I will have weekends off! Oh goodness, am I excited about that!! In those five years, I met the most amazing man ever!  We have been together now two and a half years (December 6th), and moved in together this past summer.  To say th...

Twilight: The Graphic Novel: Volume 2 by Stephenie Meyer (Illustrated by Young Kim)

Image
Hey Everyone!! So again, it's been a while.  In reality, while I still absolutely love reading, in all honesty it just hasn't been my #1 priority in life.  I have two jobs, go to school twice a week for night classes, have one class online, and have been spending all the access free time I have left, with my boyfriend.  It's been a crazy and exciting last few months, and I don't see it slowing down anytime soon. In reality, The Romance Bookie, will in NO MEANS be shut down, but reviews will continue to be slower and slower in going up.  I still read when I can, and once my classes end middle of next month, for the semester, I will have a couple of weeks, where I can just focus on reading whatever my heart desires, during my breaks :). But anyway, I've been itching to write a review, so I read something pretty quick this morning.  A few weeks ago, I found in a clearance bin, at Rite Aid (a pharmacy), of all places a beautiful hardcover of the second book in...

Twilight: The Graphic Novel, Vol. 1 (Twilight Graphic Novel #1) by Stephenie Meyer (Illustrated by Young Kim)

Image
I've been meaning to read Twilight: The Graphic Novel   forEVER!! So when I found it for $4 in a Florida Books-a-Million, I grabbed at the chance to FINALLY read it!! :) From Goodreads : When Isabella Swan moves to the gloomy town of Forks and meets the mysterious, alluring Edward Cullen, her life takes a thrilling and terrifying turn. With his porcelain skin, golden eyes, mesmerizing voice, and supernatural gifts, Edward is both irresistible and impenetrable. Up until now, he has managed to keep his true identity hidden, but Bella is determined to uncover his dark secret... Beautifully rendered, this first installment of   Twilight: The Graphic Novel  My Thoughts: I recently saw one of the students at the school I work at reading New Moon , and it made me get in the mood to read one of the books again.  I was looking at my to-be-read bookshelf yesterday, and that's when I saw Twilight The Graphic Novel on my shelf!  So I knew it was perfect! Anywa...

The Host (Movie) Review

Image
Description and Picture from  IMDB : When an unseen enemy threatens mankind by taking over their bodies and erasing their memories, Melanie will risk everything to protect the people she cares most about, proving that love can conquer all in a dangerous new world. PG-13 Director: Andrew Niccol Written by: Stephenie Meyer (Novel), and Andrew Niccol (Screenplay) Cast: Saoirse Ronan, Max Irons, Jake Abel, and Diane Kruger My Review: So it's been quite a few years since I read The Host ! In fact, I read it shortly after reading the entire Twilight Saga  by Stephenie Meyer back in mid 2008.  And honestly, I wasn't a huge fan of this book.  I found The Host  book SOOOOO long!, slow, and confusing up until a certain point.  I remember it taking almost 300 pages before I had any idea what was going on, because Meyer was using these made-up words in this world she created.   Here's the thing though about the book...it ended awe...

The End of 2012 Part 2 (Favorite Blogging Moments)

Image
Hey Everyone! So this is Part 2 of my End of 2012 Post! Wow what a year, right?! It feels like so much happened! The most Memorable Moments of this year for me were: (Top 5, I'll start with 5, and then my MOST memorable moment is #1!) #5: Screenshot I took while watching the Premiere of BD2 on Yahoo! :) Robert Pattinson was staying in my TOWN over the summer!! Okay, so it wasn't for the best circumstances (during the Kristen Stewart scandal), but none the less he was staying less than like 2-4 miles away from my house!! How awesome is that?!  IF only I could have met him!! Sigh... haha :) #4: Meg-A-Readers!! WOW, that was SO much fun to host!! I honestly didn't think much would come out of it, because I thought I wouldn't be able to get my voice heard!  With the thanks of Diana we were able to make it happen!  And it was super fun!  We'll be hosting again next year, so if you're a Meg Cabot fan, and a blogger, send me an email and I'll add...

The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 2 Premiere (LAST ONE EVER!!)

Image
Hey Everyone! So I've extended Twilight Week to today, the 18th, instead of the 17th, because I watched the Premiere of Breaking Dawn Part 2 on Monday! I wanted to share with you guys some pics from it, and if you missed it, you can watch it right HERE on The Romance Bookie!! I'll be honest, I wish so much that I could have been there, it looks like so much fun, the whole Tent City thing and everything, but also a bit crazy, especially at the premiere, when everyone is pushing to get their autographs and pictures.  I am bummed, especially since I don't live that far away from LA, but at the same time I am extremely happy that Yahoo! Movies offered this awesome opportunity to allow fans the opportunity to see everything live! It was super awesome! I was able to see Rob and Kristen come out of their limos LIVE, that would not have been possible if I would have been standing with the tent city fans in the freezing cold. It was a ton of fun, with some moments where I got ...
