Image
Hey! Today's review is for Four Days of You and Me  by Miranda Kenneally! I am enjoying reading so much again, I am just on a roll!   From Goodreads: A new swoon-worthy romance following a couple's love story on the same date over four years. Every May 7, the students at Coffee County High School take a class trip.  And every year, Lulu's relationship with Alex Rouvelis gets a little more complicated.  Freshman year, they went from sworn enemies to more than friends after a close encounter in an escape room.  It's been hard for Lulu to quit Alex ever since. Through breakups, makeups, and dating other people, each year's class trip brings the pair back together and forces them to confront their undeniable connection.  From the science museum to an amusement park, from New York City to London, Lulu learns one thing is for sure: love is the biggest trip of all.  My Thoughts: This one was cute!  I'll be honest, it wasn't my favorite Mi...

The Upside of Falling Down by Rebekah Crane

Hey Everyone! I found this really great sounding book on Amazon for my new Kindle, and I found myself reading it, and just couldn't get enough of it!  So I finished it! From Goodreads: For Clementine Haas, finding herself is more than a nice idea.  Ever since she woke up in an Irish hospital with complete amnesia, self-discovery has become her mission.  They tell her she's the lone survivor of a plane crash.  They tell her she's lucky to be alive.  But she doesn't feel lucky.  She feels...lost.  With the relentless Irish press bearing down on her, and a father she may not even recognize on his way from America to take her home, Clementine assumes a new identity and enlists a blue-eyed Irish stranger, Kieran O'Connell, to help her escape her forgotten life...and start a new one. Hiding out in a sleepy town of Waterville, Ireland, Clementine discovers there's an upside to a life that's fallen apart.  But as her lies ...

Marriage Vacation by Pauline Turner Brooks (aka Jo Piazza)

Image
Hey Everyone! I finished another book!  I bought this one along with Shrill , when I found an Amazon Books store in NYC last week! I cannot believe I already finished both in less than a week, when I hadn't finished a single book since last July! From Goodreads : In season four of Darren Star's hit TV Land series Younger , the editors of Empirical Press are shocked and deeply moved when they read Marriage Vacation , an autobiographical novel by the publisher's estranged wife, Pauline Turner Brooks.  Knowing the book will cause a sensation, they decide they must publish it.  Now you can read what the hype is about. To find herself...she might lose everything. By all appearances, Kate Carmichael had the perfect life: two adorable daughters, a pre-war town house on the Upper East Side, and a husband who ran one of the most successful publishing companies in New York.  But when Kate attends the wedding of two of her oldest friends, and reconnect...

The Geography of You and Me by Jennifer E. Smith

Image
Hey Everyone!! I am SOOO Close to my yearly goal of reading 50 books, that this is so happening this year!!!! ONE MORE TO GO!!! Anyway, this time around I read The Geography of You and Me  by one of my favorite authors, Jennifer E. Smith! From  Goodreads : Lucy and Owen meet somewhere between the tenth and eleventh floors of a New York City apartment building, on an elevator rendered useless by a citywide blackout. After they're rescued, they spend a single night together, wandering the darkened streets and marveling at the rare appearance of stars above Manhattan. But once the power is restored, so is reality. Lucy soon moves to Edinburgh with her parents, while Owen heads out west with his father. Lucy and Owen's relationship plays out across the globe as they stay in touch through postcards, occasional e-mails, and -- finally -- a reunion in the city where they first met. A carefully charted map of a long-distance relationship, Jennifer E. Smith's new novel ...

Just One Year (Just One Day #2) by Gayle Forman

Image
Hey Everyone! Once again, it's been a while, but I guess that is what happens when you've got four jobs, plus school, plus relationships and a social life to uphold :).  But anyway, FINALLY finished Gayle Forman's latest release Just One Year, the sequel to earlier this year's release  Just One Day . From Goodreads : Just One Day. Just One Year. Just One Read. Before you find out how their story ends, remember how it began.... When he opens his eyes, Willem doesn’t know where in the world he is—Prague or Dubrovnik or back in Amsterdam. All he knows is that he is once again alone, and that he needs to find a girl named Lulu. They shared one magical day in Paris, and something about that day—that girl—makes Willem wonder if they aren’t fated to be together. He travels all over the world, from Mexico to India, hoping to reconnect with her. But as months go by and Lulu remains elusive, Willem starts to question if the hand of fate is as strong as he’d thought. . . ...

Finding It (Losing It #3) by Cora Carmack (ARC) (Blog Tour)

Image
I am so excited to be asked to be a part of the blog tour of Cora Carmack's new book Finding It, the third book in Cora's Losing It series! I am a huge fan of Cora's first three books (that's including Keeping Her , the novella she wrote for the series too!)  in the series, and was definitely excited to read this new one! Unfortunately, while I enjoyed this one, I will admit it wasn't exactly what I was hoping for... From Goodreads : Sometimes you have to lose yourself to find where you truly belong... Most girls would kill to spend months traveling around Europe after college graduation with no responsibility, no parents, and no-limit credit cards. Kelsey Summers is no exception. She's having the time of her life . . . or that's what she keeps telling herself. It's a lonely business trying to find out who you are, especially when you're afraid you won't like what you discover. No amount of drinking or dancing can chase away Kelsey...

The Cassandra Clare Experience that I ALMOST Missed!! (PLUS INTERNATIONAL GIVEAWAY!!!)

Image
Hey Everyone! Can I just say I had one of the most amazing nights Friday night!! So rewind.... Let's start from the beginning... Once upon a time my fabulous mom and I went on a little road trip.  We left at 1:00 p.m. the house, with directions in hand that told us it would take about 2 hrs. and 20 minutes to get there. Well, thanks to the beautiful view of Los Angeles traffic, and the most crappy directions EVER, it took almost SIX hours to get there!!!!!!!!!! No freaking joke!!! Mapquest SKIPPED a step on the directions so we ended up going on the wrong freeway, and getting over an hour off track!! Thanks to wonderful lady at A Whale of a Tale Bookshoppe , who had the technology needed to actually travel, not just paper directions, we were able to find our way back on track!! The event was supposed to start at 6 p.m., and we didn't arrive at the Mission Viejo Library until almost 7. When my mom and I drove into the parking lot of the library, do you know wha...

Just One Day by Gayle Forman

Image
Just one day...sometimes that's all it takes. From Goodreads : A breathtaking journey toward self-discovery and true love, from the author of If I Stay When sheltered American good girl Allyson "LuLu" Healey first meets laid-back Dutch actor Willem De Ruiter at an underground performance of Twelfth Night in England, there’s an undeniable spark. After just one day together, that spark bursts into a flame, or so it seems to Allyson, until the following morning, when she wakes up after a whirlwind day in Paris to discover that Willem has left. Over the next year, Allyson embarks on a journey to come to terms with the narrow confines of her life, and through Shakespeare, travel, and a quest for her almost-true-love, to break free of those confines. Just One Day is the first in a sweepingly romantic duet of novels. Willem’s story— Just One Year —is coming soon! My Thoughts: Wow! Just wow!  Gayle Forman has hands down done it again!  I know I have ...

The Last Little Blue Envelope

Image
***WARNING: This entry contains SPOILERS from the book 13 Little Blue Envelopes*** A few months back I had read and reviewed 13 Little Blue Envelopes by Maureen Johnson.  I had really enjoyed the story.  Just the idea of traveling through Europe reading at each stop the next envelope left to you by your dead aunt seemed fascinating to me. Most of us have lost a loved one.  Unfortunately, it's part of life, and part of growing up; and that's why I found the main character, Ginny, to be so relate able.  I mean, I am not saying that everyone's relative or loved ones, leaves them a series of envelopes with a sort of scavenger hunt, but you know what I mean. ANYWAY, (I am ALWAYS getting off topic!!) I picked up the sequel, The Last Little Blue Envelope about a week ago at the library.   Back in 13 Little Blue Envelopes Ginny had almost completed the adventure her aunt had given her; however, just as she was about to open that last (13th) little envelop...
