The Lying Game...a TV series already???

I just found out some exciting news.  I guess it has been out a while, but ABC has decided to make The Lying Game series by Sara Shepard into another TV series, just like her series The Pretty Little Liars became one on ABC Family. 

As of right now, there are no clips out yet, but I did find a news reel on YouTube giving some information on the cast members.  One of them being Kirsten Prout, who played Amanda, on the short-lived (but great!) ABC family series Kyle XY (She was also in Elektra, when she was a lot younger). 

I have attached the YouTube video, containing some information on the new TV show!  Can't wait for it to come out!  It said it is expected to air this fall, so hopefully!!

The Invention of Hugo Cabret by Brian Selznick

I saw the movie Hugo (directed by Martin Scorsese) right before the New Year.  Let me back track, and let you know that usually I am NOT a fan of Oscar movies.  If I'm being honest, I find them to be boring.  However, this year has seemed to bring quite a few more exceptions than normal.  Among those are: Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 , The Help , and Hugo.   I fell in love with Hugo .  I thought it so beautifully done.  The music, the characters, the story.  I found myself crying even at points that wouldn't necessarily make you cry.  I honestly, didn't know the movie was based on a book; but when I found out at the end, I knew I had to read it. The winner of the Children's Caldecott Award, The Invention of Hugo Cabret by Brian Selznick is nothing like anything I've ever read.  Normally, when I read I imagine the story that I am reading  unfolding in my head like a movie; but with The Invention of Hugo Cabret I didn't have to imagine.  T

The Cassandra Clare Experience that I ALMOST Missed!! (PLUS INTERNATIONAL GIVEAWAY!!!)

Hey Everyone! Can I just say I had one of the most amazing nights Friday night!! So rewind.... Let's start from the beginning... Once upon a time my fabulous mom and I went on a little road trip.  We left at 1:00 p.m. the house, with directions in hand that told us it would take about 2 hrs. and 20 minutes to get there. Well, thanks to the beautiful view of Los Angeles traffic, and the most crappy directions EVER, it took almost SIX hours to get there!!!!!!!!!! No freaking joke!!! Mapquest SKIPPED a step on the directions so we ended up going on the wrong freeway, and getting over an hour off track!! Thanks to wonderful lady at A Whale of a Tale Bookshoppe , who had the technology needed to actually travel, not just paper directions, we were able to find our way back on track!!
