A Milestone!

So you guys, I have something pretty exciting to share with you! Something I accomplished this week...something that I've been waiting for A LONG time to achieve, but just hadn't had the chance to do!

I GOT MY DRIVER'S LICENSE!!!!!!!

That's right!  I am officially a licensed driver!!

This is a HUGE milestone in anyone's life, and I am just so darn excited to finally have accomplished it!  My goal was to get before my birthday, which I accomplished with exactly TWO MONTHS to spare!! I took my driving test on Wednesday, the 2nd of May, and my 22nd birthday will be on July 2nd!

YAY!! So excited!!

So is this book related, you may be asking??

No, however there is something that happened to me afterwards that IS book related!!

So I was nervous the week before my driving test.  I talked to my mom about and she asked me, jokingly, "Besides drugs and alcohol, what is something that calms you down?"

First off, I DO NOT DO DRUGS!! I SWEAR!!!  My mom was seriously joking!!  But as I thought about this question, I had a thought... "What is something that always brightens my day??"

NEW BOOKS!!!

So I made a promise to myself, IF I passed my driver's test, I would be able to buy any book I wanted!! :)

Well, as I told you before I PASSED!! And I went home that day, looking forward to go on my computer and ordering myself a new book!

Well, GUESS WHAT???

When I did, there was nothing I really wanted to buy!!! NOTHING caught my eye!  I have honestly NEVER had that problem!!

I mean, of course there plenty of books I want to read, but ones I want to own?  Not really right now!  There are plenty I could preorder, but I have a coupon from Barnes and Noble that I wanted to use, and they don't work on Preorders!  So preorders were out of the picture for now...

So yeah, I, for the first time in a LONG time was not able to find a book I wanted to own!!!!  How WEIRD is that??!!

So anyway that's it from my random ramblings! :)

Talk to you all later!!

The Romance Bookie :)

  1. Congrats on the license! I hope to get my permit this summer. :) I've had that happen a few times too. I usually walk out with something random so I don't walk out empty handed though.

  3. Congratulations!
I'm still working on getting mine, I might have to use your method of promising myself a new book.
