Game. Set. Match. (Outer Banks Tennis Academy #1) by Jennifer Iacopelli Blog Tour (ARC Review)

Wow Guys!!
I'm SOOO unbelievably excited to be promoting this book today!! You have no idea!!

It had everything I look for in a great book!!
No joke!!

So without further ado, I'm excited to share with you my review of Jennifer Iacopelli's Game. Set. Match. for one of the first stops on the Blog Tour!!!

From Goodreads:

Nestled along the North Carolina coast, the Outer Banks Tennis Academy is the world's most elite training facility. In this pressure-cooker environment, futures are forged in blood and sweat, and dreams are shattered in an instant.

Penny Harrison, a rising female star, is determined to win the French Open and beat her archrival, Zina Lutrova. But when her coach imports British bad boy Alex Russell as her new training partner, will Penny be able to keep her laser-like focus?

Tennis is all Jasmine Randazzo has ever known. The daughter of two Grand Slam champions, she's hell-bent on extending her family’s legacy and writing her own happily-ever-after...until her chosen Prince Charming gives her the just-friends speech right before the biggest junior tournament of the year, the Outer Banks Classic.

With a powerful serve and killer forehand, newcomer Indiana Gaffney is turning heads. She’s thrilled by all of the attention, especially from Jack Harrison, Penny’s agent and hot older brother, except he keeps backing off every time things start heating up.

With so much at stake, dreams—and hearts—are bound to break. Welcome to OBX: Where LOVE is a four-letter word, on and off the court.

My Thoughts:

Wow!  If you are like me and like a great cute contemporary romance novels involving people between the ages of 17-23 (which is my age group!) then you are going to love this one!!

When I first started this one, I will be honest and say I was honestly worried!  I thought it was going to be similar to Gossip Girl!  A bunch of spoiled rich brats who get everything shoved down their throats and never have and never will have to work a day in their life!

And while the character all seem to be wealthy, as a reader I found myself getting to know each one of them and seriously relating to them, and seeing them as hard working young adults looking to put their name out their in the world, with Tennis!

Jennifer, the author, has been promoting a bit Game. Set. Match. by having readers decide which teams they are on??  Team Penny, Team Indy, or Team Jasmine??

Well, I honestly thought, as I was only about 15% into the book that I already had a clear opinion on whose team I was routing for...Team Indy!

However, as I kept reading, and reached a chapter where Penny was the main character, I found myself on Team Penny!  She was such a sweet welcoming person!  Hard worker, and while she's been very privileged has still remained very humble!

BUT THEN!!! While I honestly thought I was going to ANTI-TEAM Jasmine, I actually found myself loving Jasmine too!!!!  So in the end, I decided there was only one option for whose team I chose...

I'm TEAM EVERYONE!!!! Or TEAM INDIANAJASMINEPENNY!!!!!! :)

Jennifer has created some great characters, each dealing with a different issue that the reader finds themselves routing for those character and hoping they succeed!

Overall rating...

HUGE FAN of this book!! LOVED it so much! It had the perfect everything! Writing! Characters! Story!!

It has a bit of mature content, not graphic, but definitely implied, so I would recommend it for the 17 and up audience.  Probably between 17 and 25 or so, but of course some of the older audiences will like it too!
It's a great book! And I definitely recommend it!

I have officially and 100% joined and am a proud member of TEAM OBXers!!!

The Romance Bookie :)
