The Unidentified Redhead (#1 in Redhead Series) by Alice Clayton (ARC Review)
***WARNING!!! CONTAINS MATURE ADULT CONTENT!!***
Hey Everyone!! :)
I've finished another book!! I was sent an Advanced Copy of Alice Clayton's new novel The Unidentified Redhead a few months ago. Technically this is a re-release, because Clayton had this book previously self-published.
From Goodreads:
The first in USA TODAY bestselling author Alice Clayton’s Redhead series is a playful and erotic romance between an aspiring actress and Hollywood’s hottest new leading man.
When Grace Sheridan returns to Los Angeles to become a working actress, it’s a second shot at a life-long dream. With some help from her best-friend agent, will that dream become a reality—or at thirty-three, has Grace missed her chance at the big time? And when an unexpected sizzling romance with Jack Hamilton, the entertainment industry's newest “it” boy, threatens to shine an uncomfortable spotlight on her life, how will that affect her career…and his?
Funny, borderline neurotic Grace is perfect in her imperfections, and the sexual chemistry between her and charming yet blissfully unaware Jack is off the charts. With laugh-out-loud dialogue and a super-steamy romance that will get your heart racing, sneaking around in L.A. and dodging the paparazzi has never been so fun.
My Thoughts:
Alice Clayton has done it again! I read her novel Wallbanger back in March, and absolutely laughed my a** off! There was such great humor in it!
The Unidentified Redhead was another good one from Clayton! Grace is such a sarcastic humor filled character, that made this book what it is! Jack is such a sexy British man!! OMG, is it weird that I imagined Robert Pattinson in the role?? Even though Rob doesn't have blonde curly hair (which is what Jack has, btw that is even more HOT!!!), I still couldn't help it :).
Anyway, my one complaint I have is the sort of unrealistic pace Jack and Gracie's relationship moved along. It was fast! Yet at the same time, not...I don't know how to explain it without giving away too much!
Overall rating:
I definitely recommend this one! It's a great adult chick lit read! I will warn you it contains quite a bit of mature adult content, including language and sexuality. It's got some great humor, including the nicknames Jack and Gracie call each other (Sweet Nuts, Crazy Top).
It was released yesterday so it's now available! And you can get your copy at Amazon or Barnes and Noble!!
