Royal Wedding (Princess Diaries #11) (ARC!!!)
Yay, release day must finally be here!!! I've had this post ready for MONTHS now!! I've been so excited to share with you my review, of the much anticipated Royal Wedding, the eleventh book in the Princess Diaries series! :)
I am reeling about the fact I got an ARC of Royal Wedding and The Notebooks of a Middle School Princess!!! Seriously a dream come true!!
It was so amazing to be back in Mia's world, honestly like I was catching up with a good friend, I had lost contact with over the past six years! So much fun!!
I can't believe how much has happened!!!!
From Goodreads:
From the #1 New York Times bestselling author of the Princess Diaries series, comes the very first adult installment, which follows Princess Mia and her Prince Charming as they plan their fairy tale wedding--but a few poisoned apples could turn this happily-ever-after into a royal nightmare.
For Princess Mia, the past five years since college graduation have been a whirlwind of activity, what with living in New York City, running her new teen community center, being madly in love, and attending royal engagements. And speaking of engagements. Mia's gorgeous longtime boyfriend Michael managed to clear both their schedules just long enough for an exotic (and very private) Caribbean island interlude where he popped the question! Of course Mia didn't need to consult her diary to know that her answer was a royal oui.
But now Mia has a scandal of majestic proportions to contend with: Her grandmother's leaked "fake" wedding plans to the press that could cause even normally calm Michael to become a runaway groom. Worse, a scheming politico is trying to force Mia's father from the throne, all because of a royal secret that could leave Genovia without a monarch. Can Mia prove to everyone--especially herself--that she's not only ready to wed, but ready to rule as well?

My Thoughts:
In reality, let's be honest here, if you know me, then you know isn't really even a review, yet another praise for Meg Cabot and her fabulous work.
Like I said above, it honestly felt like I was catching up with a long lost friend. I have missed Mia so much, and have been waiting YEARS for the news of a new PD book! I've even BEGGED Meg!! Both in person and through emails, and comments online!! Just to show how amazing she is, she actually listened to us waiting fans!!
I've told you before, and I will tell you again, Meg is seriously one of the most amazing authors, no PEOPLE, I have ever had the pleasure of meeting and speaking to! She is one of the few authors, where it is so obvious how much she appreciates her fans! She emails back when she can, she will write back (if you go the old fashion way of snail mail, which I did back in 2009-- and got a reply!!), she will comment on posts on Facebook. And she will just make your day brighter by posting something funny online, whether it's awesome post on her blog for her fans, tweeting somethings, or Facebooking. She is there for us Meg-A Readers!
Speaking of Meg-A Readers, if you've participated in the last few years, you know how supportive Meg and her assistant have been!! This year we were also shown a lot of support by Meg's publisher, which THANK YOU!!!!
But either way...let's get to the real point of this post...Royal Wedding, the 11th Princess Diaries book! The one us fans have been looking forward to for over SIX YEARS!!!
Mia and Michael get ENGAGED!!!!!!!!!
There I said it...phew...it has been so hard keeping that secret for months!!!
Okay, okay, so it's not really a secret, what with Meg posting the invitation for their wedding online, and having an excerpt be available for free for us mega fans, who just needed a small amount of crack* to keep our addiction fueled; but seriously it is so unbelievably exciting!!! Mia's getting married to the man of her dreams!!!!!!!!! Her high school sweetheart!!!
Not only that...but as we all know now too, with the May release of The Notebooks of a Middle School Princess, Mia has just found out she also has a long-lost twelve year old, Half-Sister!!!!! Who by the way, is such a cutie!!!!
But wait, there is more!!!! More things that I of course can't mention here, without spoiling them :(.
So much has happened to Mia, so many incredible things, it's just so awesome to have learned them all!!

There was one shocking thing that has happened in Mia's life...which is mentioned in the Excerpt...but I'll still warn you...
***SPOILER!!!!!!!***
***END SPOILER***
If you read the spoiler above, then just know that I panicked when I first read it too. But after reading Royal Wedding, while I'm still sad, it works...just trust me.
So yes, a lot has happened...exciting and a couple of sad things, but overall it's an exciting time in Mia's life!! Read it!!
You can get your copy on Amazon and Barnes and Noble!
The Romance Bookie :)
*No crack was, or has ever been used, by The Romance Bookie to write posts...or ever for that matter. It was just a metaphor. My only addiction is book buying, and Meg Cabot's books, as you probably noticed by this post.
Omg I'm so excited to read this. I really hope the boyfriend got all my hints to get this for me for my birthday!
