The Last Little Blue Envelope

***WARNING: This entry contains SPOILERS from the book 13 Little Blue Envelopes***

A few months back I had read and reviewed 13 Little Blue Envelopes by Maureen Johnson.  I had really enjoyed the story.  Just the idea of traveling through Europe reading at each stop the next envelope left to you by your dead aunt seemed fascinating to me.

Most of us have lost a loved one.  Unfortunately, it's part of life, and part of growing up; and that's why I found the main character, Ginny, to be so relate able.  I mean, I am not saying that everyone's relative or loved ones, leaves them a series of envelopes with a sort of scavenger hunt, but you know what I mean.

ANYWAY, (I am ALWAYS getting off topic!!) I picked up the sequel, The Last Little Blue Envelope about a week ago at the library.

Back in 13 Little Blue Envelopes Ginny had almost completed the adventure her aunt had given her; however, just as she was about to open that last (13th) little envelope...her bag gets stolen in Greece!

The Last Little Blue Envelope begins a couple of months after her European Summer, and has Ginny receiving an email from someone claiming to have the 13th envelope.

Ginny finds herself going back to England over her winter break; and meeting up with the person who had emailed her. Oliver, an English gentlemen, a little older than Ginny, decides to hold the letter for ransom money...yes, ransom money.

You see, that last little envelope contains instructions, that only Ginny can solve, leading Ginny to her Aunt's last piece of art she had made before her death.  Following the steps in the letter, leads Ginny into a new adventure that she will remember forever.

And surprise, surprise, guess who comes along with Ginny??
Yes, Oliver of course comes along...but someone else along the way does too...Keith!
If you don't remember who Keith is (or you haven't read the first novel), he's the boy that Ginny ran into a number of times during her trips.  By the end of the first novel, Ginny and Keith had decided to have a "Something" when it came to their relationship.
However, that "something" didn't seem to last long...because Keith takes along someone else...

So will Ginny be able to find all the pieces to put together the art piece, her Aunt intended for Ginny to have?
Why is Oliver after the money?
Will Ginny persuade Keith that they belong together?

My Rating:

If you want to know these answers and you've read 13 Little Blue Envelopes then I 100% suggest you pick up a copy of The Last Little Blue Envelope and read it!!!

I hope everyone has a great weekend!
