Reflected In You (#2 in Crossfire Trilogy) by Sylvia Day

***WARNING***THIS BOOK CONTAINS GRAPHIC ADULT CONTENT, NOT SUITABLE FOR ANYONE UNDER THE AGE OF 18!!***

From Goodreads:

Gideon Cross. As beautiful and flawless on the outside as he was damaged and tormented on the inside. He was a bright, scorching flame that singed me with the darkest of pleasures. I couldn't stay away. I didn't want to. He was my addiction... my every desire... mine.My past was as violent as his, and I was just as broken. We’d never work. It was too hard, too painful... except when it was perfect. Those moments when the driving hunger and desperate love were the most exquisite insanity. We were bound by our need. And our passion would take us beyond our limits to the sweetest, sharpest edge of obsession...

My Thoughts:
Reflected In You is the the second book in the Crossfire Trilogy! While, I admit I enjoyed this one, because of the dynamic relationship between Gideon and Eva, I will admit that at the same time it got to  be a bit much for me at times.

Their relationship is one giant roller coaster!  One second they are the happiest couple in the world, the next they are fighting, and breaking up! No joke! From one paragraph to the next.  I get it, relationships can be like that...but every fight being like that??? Yeah, a bit much...

Both have really messed up pasted, which is something Gideon, unfortunately, isn't so open about towards Eva...but here's the thing...do you want to know how long they've been together when this second book takes place??

A little over a MONTH!!
Not kidding!

A MONTH!

For that fact they act like a really f*&^ed up married couple!

I will give them this...they have passion!  The reader can definitely tell they love each other, and while at times it seems that love is mainly about the sex, because every time they fight they end up having it, BEFORE anything is resolved!

Overall rating:
I'm giving this one 3 and a half bookies!

I will admit one thing...this series is addicting!  Why?  Because of Eva and Gideon's relationship!  The reader wants to know more and more!  Especially when it comes to Gideon and his past!

This book is SOOOOOO much better written than Fifty Shades of Grey, it isn't even funny!  The story is better, and let's just say...umm...Gideon and Eva aren't like Ana and Grey in that they aren't really into...ummm...experimenting sexually...

So yes I am definitely looking forward to reading the final book in the series, Entwined with You, which hits shelves June 4th!

The Romance Bookie :)

  1. Glad you liked it overall. I'm looking forward to the third one too ... although I agree with you, there's so much drama!

    1. Oh yes! Too much almost! Drama, I mean. I mean, it's almost as if she just needs some kind of drama because she thinks otherwise the story won't be interesting...and I mean thats fine...to an extent. But too much isn't good either. This book is right at that crossline haha
