Meg-A Readers Recap #13 (LAST ONE!!) (The Bride Wore Size 12 ARC Review!)

So it's here...the end...;(, another awesome year of Meg- A Readers!!

Tomorrow Diana and I will be writing the conclusion post for Meg- A Readers, which will include a SUPER special surprise!!!!

Anyway today, for the final recap of the 2013 Meg-A Readers, I've got my review for the fifth Heather Wells book, The Bride Wore Size 12, which Harper Collins was SO AWESOME to have sent me an ARC of!! THANK YOU Harper Collins!! You have no idea how much I almost cried, when I opened that envelope!! :)

Anyway...

From Goodreads:

Heather Wells is used to having her cake and eating it too, but this time her cake just might be cooked. Her wedding cake, that is.

With her upcoming nuptials to PI Cooper Cartwright only weeks away, Heather's already stressed. And when a pretty junior turns up dead, Heather's sure things can't get worse—until every student in the dorm where she works is a possible suspect, and Heather's long-lost mother shows up.

Heather has no time for a tearful mother and bride reunion. She has a wedding to pull off and a murder to solve. Instead of wedding bells, she might be hearing wedding bullets, but she's determined to bring the bad guys to justice if it's the last thing she does . . . and this time, it just might be.

My Thoughts:

Oh goodness Heather, how much I have missed you this past year!!! I've mentioned this before, but honestly don't mind repeating it when I say that Meg's Heather Wells series is probably one of my all time favorite series! Heather is probably the one character I can relate to the most out of every single book I've ever read!  No joke!

I even made a list of what Heather and I have in common:

1.  The one that I've always loved is that Heather and I struggle with our weight.  Yet at the same time we aren't afraid to admit we love food, and are still happy with ourselves, even if we are self conscious about it sometimes.

2.  We both love to sing, Heather was a professional popstar, I did choir for 6 years...close enough right?!

3.  We both love mysteries...Heather gets to live them, I like to read them :)

4.  We're both blonde and blued eyed...just saying...Heather and I could be sisters!

5.  We both think The Hobbit book and movie are boring...Heather hasn't read or seen it, but just thinks so, while I have experienced first hand how bored I got.

6.  We both like strong independent men...yet still like to baby them when needed.

7. She loved New York City, while I have ALWAYS wanted to go there...SO BADLY!!!!

So that is the list of things I've realized Heather and I have in common! I'm sure there are even more, but I think that's a pretty great list for now :).

Anyway, now to what I thought...I LOVED it!  I don't know for sure, but this may have been the last book in the Heather Wells series, it did have a great ending! And Meg decided to add an AWESOME surprise, when a character from one of her other series made an appearance near the end of Heather's series...(I'll give a clue...this main character really LOVES fashion!!)

I remember Meg scaring me a bit last year, when she mentioned that there was a possibility that Cooper and Heather may not get there happily ever after all, but let's be honest here...Meg would NEVER be that cruel!!  Seriously, this is Meg Cabot we are talking about!!

So yeah, I 100% recommend this series, and you still actually have one more day to enter for a chance to win the first FOUR books in the series, if you haven't started reading the series, and you live here in the US!

So now to the recap!!

So we actually didn't any posts this week, however, Diana had this awesome idea where we asked our participants to share with us pictures with us of either them, them with Meg Cabot, or them with their Meg Cabot book collection!  We didn't get too many responses, but we got some awesome ones we want to share with you!!

We've got Ashna from Journal of a Bookworm in the top left, then me and Meg (from Passion and Prose last year), then in the top right corner, we have Diana from Little Miss Drama Queen (my awesome co-host for Meg-A Readers!), then we've James over at Book Chic in the bottom left corner, and then there is Karen over at Musings of the Lady Jessop next to that!  And then that sketch you see in the corner is my personal hand sketch of the wedding dress I designed for the Heather Wells wedding dress contest that Meg hosted a few months ago.

Besides Diana and I, of course, Karen, Ashna, and James were all participants from last year too!! So a HUGE thank you three!!

So again thank you so much to everyone who participated this year! Diana and I are both hoping to do Meg-A Readers again next year for a third consecutive year!

A HUGE thank you to Meg and Ann (Meg's assistant), and Harper Collins for all the amazing support!!!!

Don't forget to tune in tomorrow for our last final post in honor of Meg-A Readers!!
