Meg-A Readers Week! Day 5: Sweet Sixteen Princess (The Princess Diaries #7.5) (GIVEAWAY!)
Hey!
Day 5 Part 2 of Meg-A Readers Week!! Princess Diaries Edition! :)
For Part 2 of today, I've got a review of Sweet Sixteen Princess (#7.5 in The Princess Diaries Series)!
From Goodreads:
Sixteen is the magic number
Mia doesn't always have the best luck with parties, so even though it's her sweet sixteenth, she doesn't want a birthday bash. As usual, Grandmere has other ideas, and thinks a reality TV special is just the thing in order to celebrate royally. The whole scheme smacks of Lilly's doing -- Lilly, whose own TV show is still only limited to local cable viewers.
Will Mia be able to stop Grandmere's plan? Will her friends ever forgive her if she does stop it, since it involves all of them taking the royal jet to Genovia for an extravaganza the likes of which would turn even Paris Hilton green with envy? Why can't Mia get what she really wants: an evening alone with Michael?
With a little luck, this sweet sixteen princess might just get her wish -- a birthday that's royally romantic.

My Thoughts:
The famous Sweet Sixteen.
The one every teenage girl (at least American teenage girl, because I believe in most other countries it's 15 and 18 that are the most celebrated) looks forward to!
Mia's friends and grandma seem to think Mia needs to throw an extravagant party in order to be happy with herself. To be honest, the one question that was going through my head was, Why Mia? I mean they all will or have turned 16, so why don't they have the expensive Sweet Sixteen party?
But anyway everything turned out fine. Lilly, it turned out was in on it the entire time (it may not be what you think she was in on, if you know what I mean ;)). And Michael, is as always the biggest sweet heart of them all!
Overall rating:
This was a cute fast read! It's only about 80 pages and took me less than an hour to finish! It just puts the Princess Diaries Series even better together! :)
