Walking Disaster by Jamie McGuire Blog Tour (ARC Review)
So let me just begin by saying I'm sooooooooo darn excited right now!!! Why??
Well, I'm a stop on the Walking Disaster by Jamie McGuire Blog Tour!!!!!!!!
Yay!!!
So I received Walking Disaster a few weeks ago in the mail, and wow! I seriously pretty much ate that book alive!
From Goodreads:
Finally, the highly anticipated follow-up to the New York Times bestseller Beautiful Disaster. Can you love someone too much?
Travis Maddox learned two things from his mother before she died: Love hard. Fight harder.
In Walking Disaster, the life of Travis is full of fast women, underground gambling, and violence. But just when he thinks he is invincible, Abby Abernathy brings him to his knees.
Every story has two sides. In Beautiful Disaster, Abby had her say. Now it’s time to see the story through Travis’s eyes.
My Thoughts:
So first off, it's been almost two years since I read Beautiful Disaster (if you don't believe me, go HERE!)! I read it when it was still independently published by Jamie, and instantly fell in love! While, this book series seems to be a serious hit or miss with people, I'm one of those who believes it is a hit!
I love that after almost two years I was finally able to get back into Abby and Travis's world, but this time through Travis's eyes! It was such a fun experience, I found myself devouring this book from beginning until end! Could NOT put it down! I read the first 200 pages within a short couple of hours, and then the rest over the next 24 hours! It was hands down worth the wait!
I can't wait to read more from Jamie McGuire, especially if it's more contemporary novels, similar to Beautiful Disaster and/or Walking Disaster!
Overall rating:
It was great, amazing, and pretty much perfect! I will say, I do wish I had reread Beautiful Disaster before reading Walking Disaster (unfortunately, there hasn't been much time!), just because there were times where scenes are briefly mentioned that were more prominent in BD. I will definitely say this, READ BEAUTIFUL DISASTER before you read WALKING DISASTER!!!!! You may get confused, I am warning you!! :)
So where can you get your copies of Beautiful Disaster and/or Walking Disaster??
Beautiful Disaster you can download or order RIGHT NOW, either on Amazon or Barnes and Noble!
And you can preorder your copy of Walking Disaster, which will be available on April 2nd!! :), on Barnes and Noble or Amazon! :)
Do it!!! :)

ReplyDeleteI'm going to use your advise and read Beautiful Disaster again before reading Walking Disaster. I have pre-ordered it and can't wait to read it!
I have read BD a couple of times and it doesn't get old, I read it about two years ago too.
Pretty great right! :) And yes, I'd definitely recommend it! A lot of references were made, but not thoroughly enough explained in WD, so the people who haven't read BD might get a bit lost, and those who have, and it's been a while, might be too! :)
DeleteUnfortunately I did not read the review, I only saw your rating because I want it to be a surprise when I open that first page. Glad to know, the book wasn't a dissapointment, how the heck did you get on this tour?
