Music Tuesday #35

Okay everyone, yesterday was a sad day...

Not only was summer officially over, but I found out one of my absolute favorite shows has been cancelled!!!

I am so bummed, and quite frankly a little pissed, because the season/show finale ended on a complete hook and I wanted MORE!!!!

Jane By Design ;(...RIP


So even though I know, I've already used this song for Music Tuesday in the past, I have decided to use it again...in honor of Jane By Design...

So here is this week's song...the theme song to Jane by Design "Work of Art" by Rachel Platten!


I will absolutely miss you Jane!! AND BILLY!!! I guess you'll just have to be another show put on repeat on Netflix... ;(

    I know, I really liked Jane by Design too. So sad that they cancelled it. Billy was awesome.

      Marian, I am SOOOO sad!! I wanted to cry yesterday when I found out!!

    LOL! I am not laughing at you but at the fact that you picked my show only two weeks after I found out it was cancelled. Wow! Word travels fast. I am going to be going back to the set in a week or so to take pictures of it before we knock it down. Hopefully, (fingers crossed) we will be replacing it with a bigger and better show. I'll let you know.

      AWESOME!!

      And I feel so bad, because I honestly loved that show so much! I watched it on Hulu every single week when the new episodes came out, because we don't have ABC Family on our cable network package. I was so sad when I found out the other it was cancelled, I just honestly wanted to cry!

      I just talked to my boss about an hour ago and yep we are taking down the sets (the office, school and house) starting on Tuesday. :( But unfortunately as of now there is nothing going in its place (yet). Thank God the other show got picked up or I would be looking for a new gig. LOL!

    I loved Jane by Design! I just discovered it a few weeks ago and watched the whole season. It's so sad they cancelled it :( Great song!

The Invention of Hugo Cabret by Brian Selznick

I saw the movie Hugo (directed by Martin Scorsese) right before the New Year.  Let me back track, and let you know that usually I am NOT a fan of Oscar movies.  If I'm being honest, I find them to be boring.  However, this year has seemed to bring quite a few more exceptions than normal.  Among those are: Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 , The Help , and Hugo.   I fell in love with Hugo .  I thought it so beautifully done.  The music, the characters, the story.  I found myself crying even at points that wouldn't necessarily make you cry.  I honestly, didn't know the movie was based on a book; but when I found out at the end, I knew I had to read it. The winner of the Children's Caldecott Award, The Invention of Hugo Cabret by Brian Selznick is nothing like anything I've ever read.  Normally, when I read I imagine the story that I am reading  unfolding in my head like a movie; but with The Invention of Hugo Cabret I didn't have to imagine.  T

The Cassandra Clare Experience that I ALMOST Missed!! (PLUS INTERNATIONAL GIVEAWAY!!!)

Hey Everyone! Can I just say I had one of the most amazing nights Friday night!! So rewind.... Let's start from the beginning... Once upon a time my fabulous mom and I went on a little road trip.  We left at 1:00 p.m. the house, with directions in hand that told us it would take about 2 hrs. and 20 minutes to get there. Well, thanks to the beautiful view of Los Angeles traffic, and the most crappy directions EVER, it took almost SIX hours to get there!!!!!!!!!! No freaking joke!!! Mapquest SKIPPED a step on the directions so we ended up going on the wrong freeway, and getting over an hour off track!! Thanks to wonderful lady at A Whale of a Tale Bookshoppe , who had the technology needed to actually travel, not just paper directions, we were able to find our way back on track!!
