I'll be honest (again!), that I personally wasn't a huge fan of this book.  However, I have heard some people really enjoyed this one, so I want the winner to be the judge of that!

So I am giving away an ARC copy of Jersey Angel by Beth Ann Bauman!!

I received an extra copy of this through RandomBuzzers, because I have been chosen as an Ambuzzador (I really hope I get the chance to do it again!! I'm not so sure they appreciated my review...)

    My idea of a great summer read is a book I can just get wrapped up in and not even realize I spent the entire day reading!

    My favorite summer read is a book I'd like to take to the beach, usually different from my normal fantasy, something light and fun (like a pretty little liars book)!

    Oh gosh! I Read that book! Jersey Angel. The girl is a bit of a horn dog.

    Anyway, for me a good summer read is something that is fun and fluffy - though not silly.

    I'm not a "seasonal" reader, I just read whatever I'm into at the moment -- this Summer, it's been a LOT of UF. Faves so far are Chasing Magic by Stacia Kane and Gunmetal Magic by Ilona Andrews.

    I like to read things that are lighter reads in the summer. Books that take place in summer time, at somewhere like the beach, and causes (lots of) laughter : )

    Any book from Sarah Dessen, Sarah Ockler and Jennifer Echols :) All of their books are simply fantastic for a summer read

The Invention of Hugo Cabret by Brian Selznick

I saw the movie Hugo (directed by Martin Scorsese) right before the New Year.  Let me back track, and let you know that usually I am NOT a fan of Oscar movies.  If I'm being honest, I find them to be boring.  However, this year has seemed to bring quite a few more exceptions than normal.  Among those are: Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 , The Help , and Hugo.   I fell in love with Hugo .  I thought it so beautifully done.  The music, the characters, the story.  I found myself crying even at points that wouldn't necessarily make you cry.  I honestly, didn't know the movie was based on a book; but when I found out at the end, I knew I had to read it. The winner of the Children's Caldecott Award, The Invention of Hugo Cabret by Brian Selznick is nothing like anything I've ever read.  Normally, when I read I imagine the story that I am reading  unfolding in my head like a movie; but with The Invention of Hugo Cabret I didn't have to imagine.  T

The Cassandra Clare Experience that I ALMOST Missed!! (PLUS INTERNATIONAL GIVEAWAY!!!)

Hey Everyone! Can I just say I had one of the most amazing nights Friday night!! So rewind.... Let's start from the beginning... Once upon a time my fabulous mom and I went on a little road trip.  We left at 1:00 p.m. the house, with directions in hand that told us it would take about 2 hrs. and 20 minutes to get there. Well, thanks to the beautiful view of Los Angeles traffic, and the most crappy directions EVER, it took almost SIX hours to get there!!!!!!!!!! No freaking joke!!! Mapquest SKIPPED a step on the directions so we ended up going on the wrong freeway, and getting over an hour off track!! Thanks to wonderful lady at A Whale of a Tale Bookshoppe , who had the technology needed to actually travel, not just paper directions, we were able to find our way back on track!!
