Still on My Mind #13

Still on My Mind is a weekly meme, featured on Thursday, started by Haley over at Ya-Aholic, where you discuss a book you've either recently read, or read over the past few years, that's still on your mind.

For this weeks Still on my Mind I've decided to pick a book that's been on my mind for quite some time now...
I originally read this series during the summer before my freshmen year of high school.  It was a series I read with two of my friends at the time.  We went to see the movie that summer too...it has brought back some great memories...

Last year, the fifth and final book in the series was released...it takes place ten years after the fourth.

This book broke my heart, beyond repair it feels like sometimes, when I think about it.  It made me cry beyond control, there are probably still pages sticking together from all my tears.  This is 100% a book I will never forget!

For me review go HERE! I read this one last August.  It's the fifth book in Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants Series by Ann Brashares.

I've actually read almost every book by Ann, because I loved the Sisterhood books so much.  However, I will admit, none of them were able to compete with Sisterhood, her best.

Here's the Description from Goodreads:
From #1 New York Times bestselling author Ann Brashares comes the welcome return of the characters whose friendship became a touchstone for a generation. Now Tibby, Lena, Carmen, and Bridget have grown up, starting their lives on their own. And though the jeans they shared are long gone, the sisterhood is everlasting.

Despite having jobs and men that they love, each knows that something is missing: the closeness that once sustained them. Carmen is a successful actress in New York, engaged to be married, but misses her friends. Lena finds solace in her art, teaching in Rhode Island, but still thinks of Kostos and the road she didn’t take. Bridget lives with her longtime boyfriend, Eric, in San Francisco, and though a part of her wants to settle down, a bigger part can’t seem to shed her old restlessness.

Then Tibby reaches out to bridge the distance, sending the others plane tickets for a reunion that they all breathlessly await. And indeed, it will change their lives forever—but in ways that none of them could ever have expected.

As moving and life-changing as an encounter with long-lost best friends, Sisterhood Everlasting is a powerful story about growing up, losing your way, and finding the courage to create a new one.

  1. I got this one yesterday, this post actually just reminded me of it. I'm going to read it as soon as I lower my currently reading stack to at least 3.
