The Versatile Blog Award!

Hey Everyone!
So I've been nominated for another blogging award, this time I was nominated by Candi over at Just Can't Beat Books.

It's called the Versatile Blog Award!

Here are the rules:
1. Nominate 5 bloggers to give the award to
2. Let the Nominated bloggers know they have gotten the award
3. Thank the blogger that nominated you
4. Share ten fact about yourself
5. Add the versatile picture to your blog
6. No tag backs

Okay, I know this totally against the rules, but I changed Number 1.  It was originally FIFTEEN blogs!, but since I find that to be an absurd number of blogs to nominate I've decided to change it to five.  So if I've nominated you, then you can either decide to do 5 or 15; it's completely up to you! :)
Oh and I changed number 4, instead from 7 facts to ten.

Seven Fact about Myself (besides the possible obvious! :)):

1. I have a Thrift-Store book buying problem.  (Like seriously, when I go into a Thrift Store I don't have the patience to look through those millions of racks of clothes, I head straight to the books, and pick up a few for 25 cents-a dollar.)
2. I absolutely adore 80s music, and have seen both Cyndi Lauper and Pat Benatar in concert.
3.  During the summer, I usually go to at least one concert, and I've been doing that since the summer of 2006, when I saw The All-American Rejects (my first concert).
4. Besides reading, I also LOVE scrapbooking, listening to music, and once in a while writing.
5.  I noticed something yesterday actually, when I'm REALLY upset about something, like if something is REALLY irritating me or made me mad, then I turn to writing.
6. No one has ever read any of my stories, I'm honestly not sure if they're good enough.
7.  I'm a very insecure person.
8.  I also love to sing.  I was in choir from seventh until my senior year in high school, and then did two semesters of a singing in a class in college.  Now I usually just stick to singing at home when no one else is home.
9.  I'm a TOTAL sucker for Romantic Comedies!  Among my favorite are: "She's All That" (with Freddie Prinze Jr. & Rachael Leigh Cook), "Head Over Heals" (also with Freddie), "Because She Said So" (with Mandy Moore & Diane Keaton), and "Easy A" (with Emma Stone).
10.  The movie "Easy A" was actually filmed completely in the town I live in.  And the school they filmed in was my high school, the classroom Thomas Hayden Church taught in was my Spanish class my senior year, and a ton of the extras in the back ground, were my fellow high school graduates.  The movie was filmed the summer after my senior year.

So there are some things about myself.

Now to the Five Blogs I Award:

1. I Am a Reader, Not a Writer: I've been reading Kathy's blog almost since the beginning of my own blogging.  Because "Versatile" means able to do many different things, I believe Kathy deserves this award, because first off she seems to work her butt off on her blog!  She hosts SO MANY hops, reviews so many different genres, and is a huge supporter of the indy author community!

2. Little Pocketbooks: I was actually very fortunate to meet Alysia in February at Passion and Prose.  Her blog I've noticed talks about anything from the latest Audio book she's listening to, to the latest designer bag she's bought herself (sometimes she even like to share those bags with her readers!! :)).  She also seems to read a wide variety of books, which is great! :)

3. My Not So Vacant Shelf: Over at My Not So Vacant Shelf, the writer does a variety of different posts including reviewing not only the books she reads, but also some of the movies she sees.  She also has these quotes posts where she discusses her favorite quotes from the latest book she's read.

4. Singing and Reading in the Rain: Not only do I love the title of Eileen's blog, but we both do a similar thing on Tuesdays where we discuss our favorite songs of that week.  Mine's called "Music Tuesday" and her's is "Tuney Tuesday".  However, while I just post the music video of my favorite song, Eileen takes the time to write out the lyrics, and then review the song.  Which is pretty cool!  ALSO, Eileen helped me with designing my blog!! :)

5. Book Chic: James over at Book Chic has been blogging for FIVE years!! He's gotten to meet some amazing authors, by going such fabulous events as this years BEA!  He's met Meg Cabot numerous times, talked to her a bunch, which you know, in my book, = AWESOME!! And totally jealous!!  He's got a great site! :)

So those are my nominations!

Thanks everyone! :)

  2. Aww thank you so much for nominating me! I don't accept blog awards anymore, but I'm so honored you decided to nominate me for this award! :) That is SO cool how Easy A was filmed in your school! My town is MINUSCULE so you will never find anything being filmed at my school! -.-

    1. My town is pretty tiny too! A total of about 9,000 people, and my high school only had about 900 TOTAL.
