    VAMPIRE ACADEMY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! My favorite Paranormal YA series ever!! Love it:) The Diviners is on my TBR list, but the beasty size of it scares me like no other. Yay for bookmarks:)

    What a great haul! Thanks for stopping by my IMM. The reason the Wicked Lovely book was so small is because it's part of her Wicked Lovely Manga. I had never read the third one, figured it was time to snag it :)

    I love getting a good deal on books! There is a used book store a mile from where I work and I am in there all the time. So much fun because you never know what you will find.

      Oh I know! The majority of my books are probably from Used book stores, thrift stores, goodwills, etc. I just love getting great deals! :)

    Great haul! Hope you enjoy everything you got. I still need to read the Vampire Academy series. I have the first book, but haven't got a chance to read it yet. Also need to read Duff. Heard lots of good things about it.

    Yay, a video! Fun to see people on their blogs that I've never met in person :).

    I still need to read Cinder :( it goes in the pile. lol.

    The Louise Rennison books are HILARIOUS. They made it into a Nickelodeon movie too but I have yet to see it, I'm not sure it even came out in the U.S. (just Britain).

      It is! Mainly why I made a video this time! :) Makes it a bit more personal! :)

      And yes, read CINDER!!! Such a great book!!!

      And I've wanted to read Louise's books for a while now! And yes, there is a movie of it here in America, I've seen it at Blockbuster, but never got around to seeing it! I will have to, as soon as I read the book! :)

The Invention of Hugo Cabret by Brian Selznick

I saw the movie Hugo (directed by Martin Scorsese) right before the New Year.  Let me back track, and let you know that usually I am NOT a fan of Oscar movies.  If I'm being honest, I find them to be boring.  However, this year has seemed to bring quite a few more exceptions than normal.  Among those are: Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 , The Help , and Hugo.   I fell in love with Hugo .  I thought it so beautifully done.  The music, the characters, the story.  I found myself crying even at points that wouldn't necessarily make you cry.  I honestly, didn't know the movie was based on a book; but when I found out at the end, I knew I had to read it. The winner of the Children's Caldecott Award, The Invention of Hugo Cabret by Brian Selznick is nothing like anything I've ever read.  Normally, when I read I imagine the story that I am reading  unfolding in my head like a movie; but with The Invention of Hugo Cabret I didn't have to imagine.  T

The Cassandra Clare Experience that I ALMOST Missed!! (PLUS INTERNATIONAL GIVEAWAY!!!)

Hey Everyone! Can I just say I had one of the most amazing nights Friday night!! So rewind.... Let's start from the beginning... Once upon a time my fabulous mom and I went on a little road trip.  We left at 1:00 p.m. the house, with directions in hand that told us it would take about 2 hrs. and 20 minutes to get there. Well, thanks to the beautiful view of Los Angeles traffic, and the most crappy directions EVER, it took almost SIX hours to get there!!!!!!!!!! No freaking joke!!! Mapquest SKIPPED a step on the directions so we ended up going on the wrong freeway, and getting over an hour off track!! Thanks to wonderful lady at A Whale of a Tale Bookshoppe , who had the technology needed to actually travel, not just paper directions, we were able to find our way back on track!!
